Remarks

I completed my 12th class in the year 2021-2020 and I have applied for rie Mysore college by getting information on the website Rie Mysore. Our batch is selected on a merit-based. No entrance exam because of COVID-19.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum and faculty members are so good that faculties used to put so much effort while teaching and making students become teachers. Every student will be putting effort into their studies and also faculties are so much helpful in internships.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Rie Mysore college used to provide internships for students that Jawahar navodaya Vidyalaya has offered an internship to students. But now due to COVID students are going to nearby schools only. As earlier, it used to be in java.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placements will be provided on campus only everyone knows commonly that in rie Mysore campus placements will be there and at end of the degree 8th sem or 12th sem students will get placements on the campus itself

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is ok for everyone except sc and st students have to pay a little bit more as compared to sc and st students and even though those who are having annual income of less than 2.5 lakh are eligible for scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

In college, campus Life is very nice because everyone used to be very close to each other and their relationship bonds are so strong that everyone will get to know other cultures and languages each other. Different State students are there and even though there is no regionalism.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility is also good. Every room is so clean and no water and electricity problem is there. Each room, 2 students are allowed in the boy's hostel whereas in the girl's hostel 3 girls per room are allotted.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
