Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in computers and the latest technologies and wanted to be a software engineer, so I chose Information Technology as a branch. The course curriculum covers the main subjects of this field, and some of the new technologies have been introduced as subjects but the practical implementation taught is very less. The faculty is really supportive and good overall and teaches very well. If you attend the classes sincerely, you'll be able to score well in exams.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the companies coming for campus placements offer a 6 months internship during the 8th semester of college. Both SDE and Analyst type roles are offered by the companies with stipends ranging from 10000 to 45000 per month.
Placement Experience
The college offers decent placements to the students with an average annual package of 8-9 LPA. Most of the students sitting for placements get placed at about 90%. Companies like American Express, Deloitte, Hashedin, KPMG, Schneider Electric, and ZS Associates visit the campus for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a certain percentage of fee hike every year, the annual fee is near about 1 lac, which is paid in two instalments semester-wise. A lot of scholarships are available for reserved categories and EWS students get certain fees waived as well. The on-campus placement offers decent jobs, the average annual package being 8-9 LPA.
Campus Life
The campus life is really very rejoicing. If you're a hosteller, you'll really enjoy your time here. There are a wide variety of clubs: cultural, technical, and literary, all of them run by students only. These clubs hold their annual fests as well as small activities conducted throughout the year. There is a library in the department, but you can use the AC Joshi library on the North campus as well.
