I gave the CAT exam and got selected through it, the application forms are submitted in August and the exam is in November 6-8 months is enough time to prepare for the exam, and application fee is approximately 2000
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose is course because I was interested in Finance for a very long time and the professors are all very highly qualified to teach and it has a good student-teacher ratio, 6 term Exam overall and is quite difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The Internship opportunities are very good, all the top companies from all sectors come to hire on campus and offer decent packages to the student, there are a lot of opportunities to consider.
Placement Experience
The placements of IIM Calcutta are very good, it's one of the best B-schools in the country and has a 100% placement rate if the placements did not go as planned you can always apply outside and get a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of all IIMs are pretty high, and there is financial assistance through different banks, and scholarship options are also available if there is a need for a student and there is a scope of working with a startup on campus.
Campus Life
At first, it is a little hectic but as you get into the course it's pretty fun to be here, there are a lot of clubs and activities and functions, the infrastructure is pretty nice and there are a lot of facilities here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are pretty decent and the rent is 6000 per month, Every student gets his/her room with a table bed and all the things, there are common bathrooms but it's pretty clean and hygienic.
Interview Experience
There was an Interview for the admission process and it was intense, they cover all the basics of your profile and ask about your interest and gauge your capability to face the challenges of the institute.
