Remarks

Students are eligible for the course based on their CAT percentile. The application form can be found on the CAT website. I had no reservation benefits. No improvements in the admission process so far.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course to develop management skills. The faculties have expertise in their domain and try to make classes very interactive. A great emphasis is given to real-life case discussions by top firms to help students tackle such issues further. The student ratio is 70:30(M: F).

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The academic fee for the course is 23 lakhs for the two-year program. Scholarships are given on merit. Financial assistance is given to extremely poor students based on their family income. The placement statistics are available on the IIMC website.

Campus Life

7 Lakes Fest is the annual business and cultural fest in our college held in November. Books related to courses are distributed by the administration, and external books and journals are available in the library. Many sports competitions are held throughout the year, including Sangharsh, Intersection, etc. There are around 30 clubs, including MarC, PMTech, Consult Club, etc.

Interview Experience

Everyone must appear for the CAT exam to proceed further with the admission process. Based on your CAT percentile and profile details, you're asked to appear for the interview process. I got enrolled in a couple of coaching institutes to give mock CAT exams.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

Placements are good sometimes but not exactly sure because some batches are not placed somes are placed or somes are not then they trying to get placement for own if i talk about the percentage of placement then i would say 60% not 100%,for 3rd semester students are eligible for placement & one terms is here that is 75% attendance is mandatory for getting placement, i have visited 3-4 companies & they offer 3.7-4 lpa package,my plan after getting the degree, firstly i looking for a company around 4-5lpa package then i started to develop my self

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Placement Experience:

Last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies visited - TCS, WIPRO, MICROSOFT, TATA, IBM , AMAZON etc. 51,00,000/yr highest package and average package 5,50,000 as per company and profiles offered. 97% students are getting placements. My plans start a business after getting the degree.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the fifth term. 300+ companies visit the campus to recruit 500 students. The highest package is 70LPA and the Average package is 20LPA. 100% placements. after getting the degree students will join the recruited companies.

The eligibility for this course is having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 55% of marks and then the cut off for CAT exam varies from student to student. They calculate the composite scores for every student considering different factors like academic background, work experience, gender diversity, past academics, etc. I would recommend that the institute should have a fair shortlisting criteria which should be disclosed to everyone because I saw people topping the CAT exam still not getting calls from institute because of their strict criteria especially for general engineer male....Read More

Enrolling at IIM Kolkata was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I enrolled in an MBA at IIM Kolkata due to my strong interest in the subject.
