Bachelor's Degree in any field of 3+ years duration. Admission was through the CAT exam, then shortlisting based on CAT scores, then a personal interview process, and then admission. The CAT exam is usually conducted in November, and the entire admission process takes around 4 months to complete.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had always wanted to pursue education which would be a mix of technical aspects as well as managerial skills. I have gained technical expertise through my undergraduate and for managerial skills I chose to pursue MBA. At IIM Calcutta, the faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:200 and hence the learning experience is really nice. The faculty is well-versed in their respective subjects with theoretical as well as real-world knowledge.

Campus Life
The annual fest at IIM Calcutta is called the 7 Lakes Fest. It is called so due to the presence of 7 beautiful lakes on the serene and nature-filled campus. It is usually conducted in the month of November every year. IIM Calcutta has a well-equipped, fully air-conditioned library with access to several books and other materials for students as well as faculty. The classrooms are spacious, technologically well-equipped, and fully air-conditioned. Sports at IIM Calcutta are given huge importance since it is believed that for the complete 360 growth of an individual, sports play a vital role. There are many clubs and SIGs at IIM Calcutta that organize several activities and events all-round the year keeping students engaged in developing activities and helping students transform themselves into better individuals.
