NIT Raipur bachelor's Life

To get admission into NITs you have to crack the Joint entrance exam (JEE mains). For being eligible for the test you must be a student pursuing physics chemistry and mathematics in your schooling. Around 12-16 lakh students appear for the test and roughly only 40k students get admission into NITs. The ranking is based on caste also so roughly 60% of reservations are there for the above-mentioned seats. Once the results are announced, the selected students appear for counselling from colleges and branches. Top branches of top NITs are secured by top rankers. The process lasts for about 4 weeks including 7 rounds and 2 special rounds. After locking the branch allotted you have to report to the college with mentioned documents for the admission procedure. The application form is available on the internet and is conducted twice a year. You can appear for both exams or one exam. The best score will be considered for counselling. There are around 26 NITs in India. Some NITs also allow state reservation quotas.

For my course, the facilities are a bit less satisfying. We don't have a proper lab for our department, the Wifi facility is good but you can't access it from your systems. The infrastructure is good but limited resources are available in the library. The teaching quality is good and the teacher to are helpful and supportive. Our professors always try to update the syllabus to meet today's demands. With sound basics and a clear vision of subjects, scoring more than average is not a tough task. The pass percentage is a minimum of 35% in each theory subject.

We have a third year for opportunities in an internship. Our placement cell offers companies placement drives with roles such as software engineer, software developer, data engineer, data analyst, data scientist, Machine learning engineer, business analyst, and core internship opportunities. Some are stipend based while others are remote or work from home. Some also provide performance-based placement after an internship. We have campus beats for ZS, Accenture, Aiims internship, Mining internship by our college department, and several IT company internships. Projects are based on the job description you are applying for. Also, you can apply for college or research internships at IITs or foreign universities.

Around 15% of students got internships in healthcare companies like calidad, and AIIMs Raipur. Rest are applying in their fields of interest. Some of the top roles offered are Biomedical scientist/researcher, Rehabilitation engineer, Medical technology developer etc. Talking about open for all and other branch companies, we have TCS, EXL, Quantiphi, Accenture, ZS, Futures First, LnT, Adani, Vedanta, Tata steel, Pharmacie, Netmeds, Microsoft, Walmart, Credence, Algouniversity, Hyperverge, LatentView, Infosys, tech Mahindra, Wipro, optimum, Deloitte etc. For my course, the facilities are a bit less satisfying. Since this course is available in few colleges and this college matched my jee mains rank. Now everyone is looking for this course and a lot of Scope and opportunities are waiting for in future. If they could add more practical knowledge, it would be much easier and faster to master would be much easier and faster to master everything. We conduct a lot of events and fests here, and with each passing by the relationship between students and college grows stronger. College is surrounded by a lot of greenery and we have around 21 clubs and committees where interested can develop and boost their skills.
