Remarks
I have got this college through TS Eamcet counseling, which is a competitive exam written by students all over India. I have secured a 24k rank in that exam and I am eligible for an OBC scholarship by the TS government through which I get a 30,000 rupees concession on an overall amount of 95,000. Students who score rank below 10,000 get total fee reimbursement.
Course Curriculum Overview
Just because it's CSE I chose to join this course there is no other reason. JBIET had good staff in 2019 but the quality of staff is going down since then. Now it has poor teaching staff. There are only 2-3 Ph.D. candidates in the CSE department. Passing exams is not that difficult in Autonomous colleges like this.
Placement Experience
From 4th year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies are visiting the college where it takes only 2 to 3 students into their company, and most of all none has a good name and publicity in the market. Till now(November) up to only 15% of students got placed in the CSE department but in all branches, it might be below 10%. I chose to go for off-campus placements after completion of this course.
Fees and Financial Aid
It was 95,000 in 2019 and it is 1,10,000 now(2022). I am eligible for an OBC scholarship by the TS government, and once I applied for this scholarship then you are more eligible for a national scholarship. The fee hikes up to 5,000 - 10,000 every year.
Campus Life
There are no fests and or annual days celebrated in this college. Tech fests are conducted once or twice in a sem (6 months). The library is the source for the books on the subjects taught in classes, there are abundant books in this library. There are clubs for cultural activities, and NSS is run by students. The campus has the luxury of ground and court for cricket, Kabaddi, volleyball and basketball, and some other indoor sports.
