My college - My review

I have written the EAMCET exam which is an MCQ-based exam conducted by APSCHE, which allows seats to the students based on the rank obtained in the EAMCET exam. The counseling happened in 3 phases and I got the seat in VR. Siddhartha college is in 2nd phase of counseling. I have availed myself of the EBC reservation during counseling. The counseling process is smooth but requires improvement in option selection during counseling.

I have opted for the ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING as I didn't get into the CSE branch in this college. I am desperate to join this college because of the placements and good reputation. The faculty here is excellent and all are very experienced. Labs are also good. All the faculty teaches us by using the blackboard and rarely present the PPT before Covid. But after the Covid majority of the faculty opted for full-time PPT explanations of the subject, and only some are still teaching in the old style. The semester exams are for every 5 months. It's not so difficult to pass the exams but if we take it for granted to prepare just a night before the semester ends exams we would fall into big trouble.

Our college will provide internship through collaboration with Microsoft, amazon, google and some other companies for talented and enthusiastic students. We have projects from 6th semester onwards and there is mini nd major projects for 7 th and 8th semester. internal reviews are taken by faculty alone but extrrnal reviews are taken by other colleges faculty .

From ending of the 6th semester onwards students with no backlogs are eligible for placements. They also allow students with a maximum of 2 backlogs for some companies. The college very desperately wanted to place every student in the campus placements and our college has a 98 percent placements ratio. The highest package is 45 lacks for IT branch students and the average package of college is 5.5 CTC. I have been placed in TCS company with the DIGITAL profile.

The fee for students joining through Counseling is 66500 and for management is 102000. There is no fee hike at any cost it would be the same every year till you passed out. Our college supports scholarships like NSF and SIDDHARTHA SAHAJA for merit middle-class students who have an income of less than 1.5 lac. I have been receiving an NSF scholarship for the past three years and also applied for renewal for this final year. I have been placed in TCS for a DIGITAL profile with 7.5 CTC.

Campus experience is the best time in your life. We have an annual fest called AFOSEC, which is very much popular in Vijayawada and surrounding colleges. It is a 2-day fest. Also, there are fresher day celebrations for respective branches and regular fests are conducted every month on average. Our library has a wide range of books and our college e-library is having everything you need not just for engineering subjects but also for preparing Gate, and campus interviews we have access to international standards Journal like IEEE. All the classes have projects and Wi-Fi access. Our college supports sports not too much. There is ground but can't possible to use it in the rainy season that's the only problem with our college. Student clubs like the Samskruti club, and achiever's club ate there for the personal and social development of students.
