To take admission you have to have the science in your 12 and Manipal conduct its own examination through which you can get into it otherwise through your jee score you can get admission to Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. smit also provides scholarships to deserving candidates based on their merit and financial needs. minimum of 50% marks are required for taking admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and faculty members are well qualified and the syllabus for the Electronics and communication branch is up to date. Professors are very helpful they always try their best. As I am from Electronics and communication branch I can tell you about this branch only.
Placement Experience
After completing the course you can go for higher studies or you can go for industry. In smit campus placement starts in the 6th semester from 6th sem to 8th placements are going on. The average package is approximately 4 to 5 LPA The highest package in the 2023 batch until now is 14lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
You can get up to a 30% scholarship based on your result in the institution. When you take admitted to the college at a time scholarship will be provided based on your 12 result percentage and it renews every year based on your result.
Campus Life
The campus is very beautiful surrounded by mountains. Gangtok is only 50km (approximately) from the campus. The campus is clean and well-maintained. Central sports facility marena is there, where you can go for swimming, play badminton, squash, volleyball and many more.
Hostel Facilities
I opt for Hostel, the Hostel is quite good it provides share with one student or you can opt for a single room. 24×7 water facility is there and there is no issue with the electricity. Hostel staffs are very helpful at night they take attendance whether the student is present or not.
