Remarks
For an ECE course, the minimum rank in JEE Main was supposed to be 13k. The application form was filled during the JAC Delhi form filling. The reservation was availed with Delhi Quota. No improvement was needed in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is tough. I chose this course because of the name of the college. In every class of 595 students, at least 2-3 teachers are present. All the teachers are qualified Ph.D. from foreign universities, and famous Indian colleges. The exams were timely happening with mid-semester exam happening in between the semester (2 months) and final exams being held at the end of the semester (4 months).
Internships Opportunities
Most of the companies that came to hire an intern came with the role of a software engineer and hardware engineer. Only some came with other roles such as DevOps. The average stipend of the companies is about INR 60000. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Trilogy gave a package of more than 100000 INR. Many companies also come to hire interns on the basis of other qualification exams, such as UNIQLO came to hire interns very early as a fast retailing company from JAPAN.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, a student is considered eligible enough to be seated in the placement cycle of the college. Many big companies tech and nontech visit the college for hiring full-time and interns process. Some of the companies are Walmart, Jio, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Trilogy, Tower Research, etc. The highest package offered by the company was 1 Cr INR by a company of overseers, domestically, the highest package was around 46 lacs. The average package of each stream was around 20-25 lacs, and the overall average package was 25 lac. 90% of students do get placed through the campus placement cycle. After getting the degree and a job, I would like to pursue a degree in master.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of IIITD are high, as compared to the faculties and campus space provided. There are few scholarships provided to the underprivileged section such as SC/ST/OBC. The scholarships provided are either by the college itself or by the Delhi government. There are Teaching Assistant jobs that are present in the college which provides a stipend of 10000 INR per semester.
Campus Life
Many fests occur in this college, such as ODYSSEY, and Cultural fest, there is no month decided for the fest, however for new freshers the fresher party is conducted in the months of either February or January. There are more than 300 books available in the library with both online and offline issuing facilities. Many journals and research papers are also present in the library. In a single classroom, there are tables, chairs, a board, a projector, a speaker, and a central mic system for bigger classrooms. Many sports events also occur in this college, recently events called Atranga(GYM event) and IPPL(Cricket event) occur here. A huge number of clubs are present namely salt n pepper for foody people, cyborg for people interested in Robotics, etc. There are many websites as well that are run or made by the students, which are applied in this college.
