Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well defined covers most of the engineering aspects and management aspects of textiles in the recent world research is always given a lot of importance and people are encouraged to do internships and the department also helps them find one faculty always helps one in writing research papers for national as well as international publications.
Internships Opportunities
They do help us in finding internships but we don't get any stipend we get to select our area of interest and we are sent to that industry to understand the practical aspect of our subject and it gives us immense insight into the subject.
Placement Experience
The placements were good in our year we got the following companies Trident (9lpa) - 1 person placed cognizant, Wipro and Infosys (3lpa) - 4 people placed few other local textile companies - 4 placed Our strength was 19 and 9 people were placed people who haven't been placed have been referred by the faculty members to the companies that they know.
College Events
We have one techno-cultural fest every year and one environment day fest the technical fest for textile is good a lot of people from other textile colleges around India come for participation where as the cultural one is majorly for the students and not really impressive the environment day has a decent enough response.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible being a government university college the fee during our year was just 10,000 a year and a lot of the students got scholarships as well probably including the books the cost for a whole year for academics would be 15000 on the higher side.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are majorly from government and our fees is really low so loans are not required for the economically low class there is always a scholarship.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is almost 1:1 sports are decent enough in the college premisis but being a university we have a huger ground outside the college in the university premisis which is accessible to all the students. There a lot of sports competitions that happen and we even have a sports day. Cricket, football, caroms, chess, volley ball, badminton, table tenni tennekoit and throw ball are played most of the time. Debates hardly happen MUN is one thing which happens once a while not very good on the literary terms student diversity and tolerance botb are good as far as the college is concerned.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar so I don't have a very good knowledge about the hostel but as far my knowledge is concerned the hostel rooms for girls are pretty neat and 3-4 people stay per room there are no attached washrooms the boys hostels are not that nice.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni is pretty good if reached out they are very helpful we don't a have a very strong alumni network but 2 years ago we started to build and it is going ahead pretty well.
Exam Structure
It was well balanced we had 2 semesters every year and 2 internals every semester and no other exams other than these apart from first year we only had 2-3 labs a sem in a week every lab was assigned an afternoon session and people were allowed to leave o
Faculty
