Remarks
60 % of seats need to fill up based on marks and 40% of the seat based on the entrance test. The application form and fees and dates were given on the website of Calcutta University. There are reservation benefits for physically challenged people, SC, ST, and OBC, all the criteria are properly mentioned on the official website. Presently, due to the huge competition, the university has modified its admission process to appoint better candidates to its institution.
Course Curriculum Overview
English is my favorite subject and as I have done my bachelor's course in English, I was predestined to pursue further studies to know more about the subject and that is why I have undergone a master's degree in English. There were nearly 20 professors and approximately 200 students in our course. The teaching method was excellent and the professors were highly educated. The exam was on an internal basis i.e. 20+80 marks and it was much tough to get good marks.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy was 1200 per year and the total fees of the course were 2200 rupees. The fees need to be provided before the exam. There was no scholarship, and no campus procedure was available on campus.
Campus Life
Some departmental freshers and farewells were arranged by the students of the campus. the library was so good and there were numerous books available on the campus. The university also held cultural programs like Basant Utsav and lots of seminars.
