Good placement

You can get admission to college by giving the gujcet and Gujarat board exams/CBSE. Gujcet is the MCQ exam and the Gujarat board exam/CBSE is mainly theoretical. There are some reserved seats for JEE students too. But it's only a few seats.

Government Engineering College Rajkot is affiliated with GTU. So, the course curriculum is according to GTU. There are good faculties in college. They are very helpful with curriculum doubts. The college mainly focuses on Self-study so if you can do self-study the n you should get college admission. No doubt faculty helps you in your doubt but sometimes you have to do some curriculum things by yourself. There are not enough faculties in the computer department. The ratio of faculty and students is around 1:9.Faculties are highly qualified out of 18 faculties 3 complete their Ph.D. and else are pursuing their Ph.D. Every semester has 4 months to complete and GTU gives at least 15 days to read before the exam. Sometimes reading time can be bigger than 15 days. Exams taken by GTU are sometimes hard and sometimes easy so it is not easy to pass an exam without any preparations. In the GTU curriculum, every branch student has the same subjects in their 1st year of engineering.

Tatvasoft, TCS, Radixweb, RKIT Software, TSS Consultancy are the companies that offer a role like junior developer and database manager. APY material is a student-created project which is used by many GTU students.

From semester 7 students are eligible for internships and after the 8th sem placement is given to the students. The 8th sem is full of internships or projects. The average package of college is 2.8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tatvasoft, Miracle, etc. are coming every year for placements. In the computer department, 60% of students are placed. I take the placement after completing the degree. If anyone wants to give the GATE exam and wants to do masters in IIT then the books from Library are very useful.

Since this college is government. The fees of college are less. 1500 a year is a college fee. There is a scholarship named TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) in which you don't have to pay tuition fees. If you are a TFWS student then 750 is your yearly fee. Digital Gujarat scholarship and Mysy scholarship are also available in college. Digital Gujarat hostel food scholarship is available in which students get 12000 a year.

When GTU arranges the tech fest then our college is first to select tech fest. Recently, a tech fest was organized by the college and I also participated in it. Tech fest is arranged every year. The library is very useful in my college. There are 18000+ plus books in our college library. By giving a college ID you can get the book for 15 days. You can get a maximum of 2 books at a time. The college has a cricket, football, and volleyball playground and a team. For noncurriculum activity college is good also.
