Remarks

Eligibility of the course- I made it to the 3rd merit list because the 1st and 2nd merit list cut-offs were too high. 1st merit list cut off was 85%, 2nd merit list cut off was 75% and 3rd merit list cut off was 60%. Application form, fees and application dates- BESC have this very useful website where everything is given and is very easy to navigate properly. Improvement (if any) - I think my college's application process is very easy for everyone because everything is told to you in advance that is what I like about it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to do business that is why I opted for this course in this college. Our college's faculty is one of the best in Kolkata, there are 3-4 teachers for every subject. BESC's faculty is one of the top faculties in Kolkata. The teaching method is very good because they do not go by the text all the time, they try to make you imagine the situations of the subject's needs. Every 6 months there was an internal examination and it was quite tough because it was to prepare the students for the university exams.

Internships Opportunities

Our college offers various types of internships in Internshala and many more opportunities. They get to present themselves by inputting these internships on their resumes. Internships are important to get a job as a fresher.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS and many more have offered jobs in our college. The average package was 2 lakhs per annum. 30% of the students get placements + internships. I want to start a business.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course were 36,000 for the 1st year 37,000 for the 2nd year and 38,000 for the final year. I did not sit for the placement drives but my friends got scholarships and jobs from it. One of the recruiters was TCS.

Campus Life

Umang is the name of the annual fest, It is usually conducted in the month of December. Our library is very big and all the books are available for the subjects that are taught in the college plus self-help books are also available. I was in the football team of college. Our college participates in more than 50 tournaments in all sports like cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, chess, basketball etc. I would like to name some big tournaments that Our college participates Calcutta university tournament, the Reliance tournament, the Red bull Jr tournament, inter-college tournaments etc. There are many clubs like the book club, eco club and many more.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me .
