A College that is noted for its academic results and job placements

The college has had excellent success within the few years considering the college is fairly new. The college holds a strict policy on the overall education of the students with a very, very strict policy of 85% compulsory attendance. If this is not met, the college undertakes strict actions and also levy the necessary fine for any indesciplinary actions by the students. If the rules and regulations of the college is maintened, it becomes a perfect place to start the first step towards the future of the students.

I secured a ranking of 15343 in KCET in the year 2016 KCET examinations which led me to opt SJBIT in the placements offered by KEA. Due my intrest in automobile engineering and designing I choose mechanical so that a firm base from a recognized college would help in further education.

The course curriculum is based on the rules provided by the VTU. The college is keen in maintaining the educational status of every semester and finishing the syllabus within the duration and also a strict policy towards the attendance of the students is maintained. You will also be trained in both the practical aspects and the theoretical aspects of the syllabus to ensure proper education is provided.

The college also has an HR Department with its head being Prof. UMESH. His name is well known among the HRD and also to many of the companies that come to the college for recruitment. The college is also tied up with leading companies including Apple, Infosys etc. all of which come for the recruitment of the students in the 7th semester.

The placement rate of the college in the year 2015 was 97.9% which was a top score amongst most of the colleges in Karnataka. The college also holds the record of securing one of the highest placement percentage among all the VTU affiliated colleges. It also has its name in the top job placement colleges in Karnataka.

The college has one yearly fest called Varchasva where all the departments come together and host the Techno-Cultural programs and competitions with the prize money. There are also individual fests held by each of the departments and also a yearly Science Exhibition.

The fee structure is different for the Competitive examinationa placed students and the management. For the Students from the competitive exams the fee is as stated by the VTU including the charge for the HRD training provided. The management fee is varied.

The college also provided the meritorious students with yearly scholarships and recognizes the hard work of every student. These students are also provided with a yearly scholarship ranging from 10k to 15k, and also hold the ceremony every year for such students.

The college has an equal ratio of boys to girls. The campus is huge with lots of room for cultural and sports activities. The college has a food place for the knick-knacks with all the different varieties of food. The campus also houses a huge cricket/football ground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and an indoor badminton court. The diversity of the students is well maintained and no discriminations are made by either the faculty or the students.

The hostel facilities is provided for both boys and girls,each having individual blocks within the college campus which provides for easy travel between the college and the hostel. The rooms are provided with good beds and comfortable washroom facilities for each floor of the building. The food provided by the mess is also average and plentiful.

The college asks the seniors to be a proper role model for any new students or freshers. There is no ragging or any kind of bullying by the seniors within the campus and the freshers are greeted by a good motivational welcome by the senior students.

The college ensures that the students are able to face the final examinations with a hectic pressure by providing the proper time to time teaching and revisions and also the internals texts every other month consisting of three internals per semester. This helps the students to gradually get ready for the examinations. The same is followed in the lab examinations also.

After the KEA placements,it is easy to get the admission as all u have to do is show up at the admission office with the paid fee slip of KEA. Then u will be directed to the fee counter where a cheque or a dd towards the college bank account will have to be paid. They give the receipt of the admission and you are all set. The faculty consists of many teachers within the respected department. There are individual blocks for each of the department with an office present within. They teachers are friendly and posses the necessary skills to teach the students, maintaining the proper teaching rate and ensure that the syllabus is completed.
