Remarks

As a college, VRSEC is one of the best colleges in andhra pradesh. But it need many new techniques of teaching for better output. and the students of vrsec are pretty good now. Campus is located in the outskirts of vijayawada which is pretty peaceful. there are lots of trees within the campus which makes it eco friendly.and they do provide good education

Entrance Preview

I took APEAMCET to get into this college,i got rank around 4000 and got ece, eie, eee,it in counselling but i choose ece over the other 3 courses because i am much interested in electronics..all i had to show them was my marks list there was no interview

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I think the focus on research is ok. but not the best we still use old teaching technique as said by our own head of department, our college might be the best one in andhra but compared to other states we are pretty backward.. ya out college did give out good number of engineers

Internships Opportunities

no my college doesn't not provide internship, but he do have credits for people who attend internships outside the college, so its a must that students should join internships, most of the students from VRSEC join into BSNL and local companies for training which they call 'INTERNSHIPS" which is weird. because these companies take money for internships

College Events

4

many events are conducted every year.. srujanostavam is considered as the department fest, afosec is college fest and there are 3 clubs in every branch, namely athisaya, vignasa, vidhyaya, they conduct events every once in a while.. recently vignasa conducted a quiz in which i personally won, afosec is of 2 days .. technical and cultural its full of fun, people from various colleges come to vrsec on these two days

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee structure is pretty expensive, the time i joined in the college my fee was around 72000 and its keeps decreasing year by year around 2 000, this year my fee is 68000 but for the juniors who are joining this year, the fee is around 1 lakh which is kind of expensive for a local college like VRSEC in vijayawada, andhrapradesh.

Fees and Financial Aid

i don't think there is any good scholarship offered by our college. but our government has many good scholarship for poor students, they pay 90% of the tuition fee for many students in VRSEC,

Campus Life

4

In first year the campus life is pretty bad because Mr. Ratnakar is the incharge who treats the students like primary school students, there is also uniform in first year of the college. and the campus life is pretty cool after 1st year, gender ratio i guess women are more in number compared in the boys considering our course, labs are pretty good, we have many good sports team for our college, there are debates once in a while

Hostel Facilities

4

the mess food is pretty good,we enjoy the food there. there are many types of cold drinks, and ice reams there. we do have one plate meals, along with tiffins like dosa, poori, bajji and fast foods like burger, french fries, noodles, manchuria. the hostel facilities are also pretty good considering the money they take as rent

Alumni/Alumna

There are many politicians and celebrities from our college. Ram gopal varma has studies civil engineering in vrsec, many MLAs of krishna district has studied in Vrsec. the senior students help us to explore our ideas.the celebrities do visit our college once in a while and gives us inspiration

Exam Structure

the engineering life at vrsec always leaves you with a hectic day, their are total 4 internal exams before the semester end examinations, the internal exams namely first assignment exam, first sessional examination, second assignment and second sessional respectively, basically the assignment exams are for 10 marks and sessional exams are for 15 marks and theirs home assignment which is for 5 marks.. all these combined makes 30 marks which sums up as internals and the semester end exam is for 70 marks

Admission

notification was released like after a month of eamcet results, my college is one of the best colleges in andhra pradesh so, i chose VRSEC and the admission processes was quite simple .. all i had to do was submit some score cards of 10th and 12th along with my eamcet score card

Faculty

2

pretty much under qualified i guess most of them are just m.tech students in colleges around andhra pradesh.. but most of them are interested to teach the course.. we do have staff who just dictate notes to the students and tell the students to mug up so they can score high.,. but i don't think this is a good way of teaching.. but we do have some teachers with quality teaching skills like Mr. AVS sir, Padmaja mam etc. they are good at their subjects and they help the students learn the subjects but they are kind of strict which make them the senior most professors in the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
