Remarks

The college is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. To get admission to its colleges, you will have to get jee rank of about 2 lacs to get IT in BTECH. ADGITM also has a civil branch so if you are having 4-5 lakh rank, you may get the civil/ mechanical branch. Every year University roll out the application forms to fill out. It cost me around 650 rupees to fill as I am from the general category. But if you are from the reservation category. The cost also goes down. If you are a Delhi domicile and have a rank that you cannot get into NIT, IIT, IIIT, DTU or NSIT. Then you must try these colleges. Delhi domicile and sc/St reservation work in these colleges too. Well, the admission process was quite easy. So I don't have any problem with that.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In Indian engineering colleges, CS/IT branch is preferred because It has a maximum placement rate with decent packages when compared to other branches. Hence, I chose it too. Some faculty are friendly and don't bother much with our attendance. Few faculties follow every direction that HOD says and thus they sometimes are rude. But overall faculty is decent. Teaching is also decent for many faculties. Passing the exams is not so much difficult. If you study a day before, you can pass but if you want to score well enough, 2 weeks before the exams might be good enough. Exams are held regularly by the University in every college at the same time.

Placement Experience

I guess after 6th semester, you are eligible to sit for full-time placement. In a prefinal year, we receive internship links from colleges. Companies like Josh Technologies, byjus, grab, TCS, Accenture, zs Infotech, Samsung, etc visit our campus. Last year grab was the highest package provider on campus. They gave 18 LPA to 8-9 students. Byjus gives 9 LPA. ZS infotech gave 10 lpa. Students were placed off-campus in top companies like Amazon, trell, bharatpe, etc. Almost 85-90 per cent of cs/it students get placed, while others opt for higher studies. If you are in a private college like this one, you must study hard for off-campus placements. On campus should be your backups.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year I see some fee hike of about 2k- 3k. But that fee is increased by the University. The college takes only 97k in a year. The total cost to study will be around 6-7 lakhs for the whole graduation(including travelling expenses). Since GGSIPU is the oldest state college in Delhi, we get scholarships according to our financial status. For myself, I receive a 100% scholarship on tuition fees which is 97k. I am in my 5th sem so I haven't got any opportunity. But hoping to get it soon.

Campus Life

3.5

So we have this tech fest called technofest or something. It's not that great. It is organised in October. It wasn't great for me but we also have an annual function. I don't remember the name but it was great. We had DJ nights and some celebs came to perform. It was fun. We have a library with wifi but I haven't used it yet. About sports, some played volleyball, tennis, TT and cricket after the classes are over as it is not allowed to play before that. We also have a sports annual fest where University and its different colleges play as rivals. It's totally fun too. About clubs and societies, we have all kinds of societies you are looking for be they tech or non-tech. We have dancing, a singing club known as Swaranjili, a debating society, IEEE, GDSC ADGITM, CodeChef ADGITM, a cricket club, a football club, a photography society, and finally ROBOGYAN run by my friend, etc.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
