Computer Science at Gtbit

There are two ways of admission in gtbit one through JEE mains for 12th passed students CET Code 131 and another for Diploma passed outs where the entrance is taken CET Code 128 by the university and according to their rank college allotted to them. In both cases, after the entrance exam is over you gave to pay Counseling fees which are 1000. In GTBIT 85 percent of seats are reserved for Sikh minorities and the rest 15 percent for others. Due to this many deserving candidates won't get their seats so I thought reducing the 85 percent quota to 60-75 is still a better chance. Facilities are well cooperative so the admission process is smooth.

I chose the computer science branch as it is the most demanding branch in recent as well as for the future. There are 66 students in total in the class. Classes are divided into two batches for the lab. All the faculties are well qualified and most of them are Ph.D. holders or pursuing Ph.D. Well-supportive teachers can even ask your doubt personally when they are free. Exams are on time as it is followed by the notice from the university and you can pass the exam if you are a little attentive in class Or if you studied the important topics provided by the teachers.

In recent three to four years fees are hiking continuously during 2020 fees were around 124900 and now it's 142900 for the first year. Scholarships are available in the college by the Delhi government named as merit cum means in which you are green ration card holder full tuition fees will be refunded, if you have an income certificate with annual income less than 2.5 LPA then 50 percent tuition fees will be refunded, Lastly if you income certificate with annual income above 2.5Lpa to 6 LPA 25 percent fees will be refunded. Internship opportunities are available by the college during the 6th semester and placements start from the 7th semester. The placement ratio of cse/it is quite good and satisfactory.

First of all there is no ground in college, a small concrete ground is available so if you are fond of sports then you have to compromise. Official fest of the college is Gates which lastly held in 2019. The canteen is also very small and not much space to sit there.There are many societies active in the college tech societies like Gdsc, IEEE other is Et cetera, DLC, and Natya for singing, dancing, and drama. Books are provided for the semester by the college as the cost is included in your first-year fees. Change books for every semester in the book bank. The library is quite big and spacious with ACS. Classrooms have only desks and whiteboards only the classes in the lab block have ACS. This year many sports are introduced like basketball, tug of war, volleyball, and badminton.
