Remarks
You will be eligible for the course only if, up to 50% in the 10th and 12th boards for the general category. Jee mains examination (different cut-off every year). It will be available on JCECEB Site Applying for counseling costs Rs400 and for locking the particular course it costs Rs 1000. Altogether it conducts 3-4 counseling. Application dates -not fixed. It depends on how NTA conducts JEE mains exam. Reservation Benefits- cutoff decreases accordingly - general, OBC, SC, and ST about 45 percentile in SC category you will be admitted in this college and about 80 percentile in OBC category you will be on the safe side. According to me, there's no improvement needed in the admission process if you are going to change something there will new problems arise.
Course Curriculum Overview
I Did choose this course because it's the most respected course in BIT Sindri and here core placements are quite better. besides selecting any course it doesn't matter if you are opting for the environment. The student ratio in the mechanical engineering department is quite clear. In the year 2021, we have 108 boys and 7 Girls only. In the year 2022, we have 98 boys and 8 girls only. In year 2021 the cutoff closed at 540 CML rank for the general category and in the year 2022 the cutoff closed at 560 CML rank for the general category. The teaching method is quite good in BIT Sindri but still intact with unacademy or GATE. Passing exams wasn't hard for major students in 1 year. Be prepared with your notes beforehand and 1 day is enough for mid-term exams . Be serious in the End sem cause it's quite difficult to pass .start beforehand.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is quite low as we all know it is a government college. Just you will cost 56000 per year for the hostel and mess which will be taken monthly. Every year- approx 15000. Scholarship - E -E-Kalyan for OBC and SC/ST category of about 20000 every year. Just you need to submit your documents to the E-Kalyan site and avail it. Amazon FFE for students who stand below 75000 ranks in Jee Mains Examination. Maximum students in the core sector clear the GATE exam and go for Higher studies. Vedanta, Zeolite, Wipro, and Infosys are some companies that came on campus, and the average package is 6LPA in Mechanical Engineering Department. Amazon and Google are the company for IT and CSE students. You can also apply for the ONGC exam which is a Government Job and RBI.
Campus Life
Techi of the year is the tech fest conducted by Modal club in December DJ night is the annual fest. Here in a library you will be available with all the academic books till the last year and more books on ecology etc. you will be provided with a library card from which you can issue a book for 14 days and then you have to return it else you will be fined. there is a GRS library which also has a lot of books on every sector you can tell the librarian and in a week you will be provided with it and here too you will be provided with a library card. Here classrooms are well furnished .it is generally conducted in the lecture hall for 1st year and branch classes in the department. Here is the different craze for sports. sports club in BIT conducted events every year and every student actively participate in them. There is a number of clubs present in BIT like sports club,IETE,ISTE, Modal,Arts, ECO,Leo, etc and their social handle with the website made by BIT students.
