Remarks

The cut-off for different rounds of counseling varies each year. You have to pass the NEET Entrance exam to be eligible to get admission and have a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th board exam in the PCB stream. The form for counseling can be filled out online. Then you can come to the campus to start the admission process if you get selected. You require all the basic documents with category and income proof if it is valid. You have to deposit the admission and course fees in the form of a DD. The one improvement which can make to make the admission process hassle free is that there must be a proper team of doctors assigned to do medical examinations of those seeking admission. It is such a struggle to get the medical done from different departments in different corners of the campus. And being completely unaware of which department is where when you are new, makes it impossible to not give up 10 times while getting the medical done. Please do have a proper place and a team of doctors for this.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

If you ask me honestly, I didn't choose BDS to begin with, BDS chose me because Mbbs was not available at my marks. But, never the less, it's a different course and I get to be a doctor. On average, there are 3 teachers in each department for a class of 100 students. The teachers are quite achievers here I must say, they have published a good number of research papers in both national and international journals. All of them have a different yet very practical teaching method. Learning is always fun here. There are final term exams at the end of every year. The course is of 4 years plus 1 year of internship. The exam level is good and one needs to study for a decent amount of time to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We have internships in our college as a part of our course.. the course is of 4 years and we have to do 1 year of compulsory internship from our college to get the degree. As such there are no on-campudings placements in medical colleges so this question is not very appropriate regar a medical college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no such scholarships offered by the college. Only the ones offered by the govt of India or Haryana can be availed if you are eligible. The tuition fee is around 47K per annum Hostel fees are 23K per annum Mess bill is about 3000 per month Examination fees are around 2500 each year. During your internship in the 5th year, you are paid 17K per month. You also get 20 CLs in a year.

Campus Life

3.5

Little things and competitions are usually happening here on campus. There is also an annual college fest known as ARMSCON which is also a national medical student conference. There is a playground on the campus with a football ground, a basketball court, and a tennis court. A lot of cultural activities like Diwali Mela and holi fest are also there. The social and cultural group of our college is called the LAMS group.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is no typical registration process or eligibility criteria for hostels You can usually get a hostel if you require it. Although, for the girls' hostel, the conditions are poor. There is a very high shortage of rooms and the number of students has increased. There are very few water coolers in the hostel which is a big downside as the premise is very big. The sanitary condition of the washrooms is also not good. I think the authorities should make an effort to improve the living conditions. They are not very okay here.

It is a little easier than mbbs. You get to have a doctor tittle in front of your name. Regular attendance makes you more disciplined and a good dentist. It is fun to carve teeth and to do prosthodontics experiments are also fun

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Bds as there ar no emergency patients as compared to MBBS. If you can establish your own clinic you can earn a handsome money. You can be your own boss. The student ratio is also very good in our college. The faculties are very much educated and supportive. Though the studies are little hard still you can pass exams easily if you study hard. The exams are on time and the teacher will guide you very well for exams.

Placement Experience:

I am a BDS student so for us right after finishing our BDS we are eligible to practice ourselves. Now it is on you whether to go for MDS or not, or whether to move abroad for your practice, we have our internships in the 5th year where we are taught how to deal with patients in real life so our journey starts right from our internships, a lot of fresh Doctors who have passed out from this college are doing great in life. I have a clear set of thoughts in chronological sequence as to this would be my way forward which includes doing MDS and going for opening my own clinic after which I shall move abroad for my practice.
