Amazing University

Jamia Hamdard University is a good university for medical as well as engineering.

I gave IIT JEE Mains entrance and scored above 100 score. I had opinions of my siblings regarding this college. It was the best option I had with my Mains score. So i chose this univeristy.

The faculty is really good in Jamia Hamdard University. We are taught everything that will help us achieve our goal. We have complete access to libraries. We can get all the books related to our course from there. Also notes are provided by the teachers.

Yes the college has collaboration with various companies. We are given chance to sit for internship interviews. Stipend depends on he companies.

Placement of Jamia Hamdard University for my course is average. 80% of the students get selected through college placement. Good companies visit this university. And rest 20% also usually get placed off campus. We have a placement committee especially for this thing.

There are annual functions of each department mostly every year. Apart from it recently Prime Minister of India visited our college in a function. Also various mushayras and shayaries function are organised time to time. Various functions like induction for new students are also organised in Jamia Hamdard University.

Fee structure is a little expensive for engineering. With Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC) releasing the revised fee structure of engineering colleges, a huge disparity in the fee has come to light in the state's institutions. While some are charging as low as Rs 18,500 per semester, the maximum goes up to Rs 40,000 per semester. We pay approx 67000 RS. per semester.

I have never availed any loan facility. But scholarships are provided to toppers in Jamia Hamdard University.

I do not live in hostel but hostels are really nice. Especially girls hostel is very nice. There are many hostels in Jamia Hamdard University. And all hostels are within the campus. Mess food is not that good but we know it not even one hostel provides good mess food. Security is really very good in hostels. Girls as well as boys are safe.

I have never contacted any alumni member or any serious so i have no idea about it. But i am sure they are helpful.

Examination schedule is not very tight and frequent. There are two sessional examinations and one final examination in every semester. Sessional examinations are of ten marks each and semester final examination is of 70 marks. It is not hectic as we are given reasonable syllabus to prepare for each examination.

After giving my IIT JEE Mains exam i filled an online application form through Jamia Hamdard University website. Then after few days lists of selected candidates were published and my name was there in the first list. Then I went to the university, submitted my documents and took admission.
