Research-oriented and Affordable college

No entrance exam is required for new admission. Eligibility is only based on the percentage scored in the higher secondary of the state board, CBSE, and other boards of education recognized by the state of central government with an aggregate of 50% and above in Mathematics/Biology, Physics, and chemistry for any course. You can view & fill out the application form at "https://kalasalingam.ac.in" and the fee is around Rs.800. Scholarships are available for every student up to 75%. One can easily get the scholarship based on the 3 categories: 1) class XII percentage 2) AP/TS Eamcet (similarly for other state board entrance examinations) 3) JEE mains rank. Most preference will be given to JEE mains rank. The only improvement required is to shortlist the minimum number of students in the admission process.

IBM collaborated with the college for providing advanced training to computer science students. Strength is increasing as compared to previous years. In 2020, Around 1800, in 2021 around 2500 - 3000, and this year (2022) around 4500 students. Most of the faculty are completed their post-graduation in their respective fields, many got their PhDs. some faculty are doing state & central government-funded projects, and some of them are research-oriented too. There will be 3 exams: two sessional examinations (mid-exams) and the end semester. Around 85 working days for each semester, there will be around one and half month gap between each sessional examination and less than a month gap between the second sessional and end semester examination. The difficulty is easy & moderate and one can pass with sufficient effort.

companies: TATA, Apollo types, MCW, amazon, Tech Mahindra, Nissan, L&P, CAT, etc. Projects preferred are research-oriented (machine learning, internet of things, computer science, electronics) and one with a good project idea, can get funds from the institute.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, IBM, Tech Mahindra, apollo tires, TATA, Mu sigma, Deloitte, Capgemini, L&T, Accenture, Cognizant, Pwc, Wipro, Legato, ZOHO, CGI, Aptean, and more. The Highest package is 30LPA & Average package is around 5 - 6.5LPA. Almost every student will be placed and the percentage can be given as about 95 - 98%. Not Sure whether to go abroad or higher studies.

The fee structure is moderate. Around 1,25,000/- per year. The cost to study is affordable as compared to other universities. Scholarships are available up to 75% for 4 years (B-Tech), based on the different categories: 1)JEE Mains Rank, 2)Board entrance examination, 3)Higher Secondary percentage (+2/Intermediate). Financial assistance will be provided by providing some government scholarships too. Placements are good enough with an average package of 5LPA - 6.5 LPA and the highest package is 30LPA till now. Internships with stipends are provided frequently in higher semesters. Semester exchange programs are also available with foreign universities.

Cultural fests occur once a year or occasionally, but tech fests are conducted often. Food feasts are conducted almost every month. Almost all the required books & journals are available at the central library. Amenities in classrooms include Air conditioners, and projectors, but very poor network strength. Sports and extra circular activities like NCC, Yoga, swimming, camps, many others and will occur very effectively. Intra & Inter level competitions also happen every semester. There are nearly 10 clubs: 1)Red cross, 2)Innovation and startup cell, 3)Fine arts club, 4)Green army, 5)Photography club, 6)Nature club, 7)Music club, 8)Technical clubs, 9)IKSC (By IUCEE), 10)Aquatics club. etc.

Facilities include a Bed, Table, Chair, frequent cleaning, and all the common requirements we need. Meal quality is average, the taste is not so good. The menu is divided into two categories: North & south, monthly food feast will be there. It includes Chapathi, Idly, Dosa, Upma, Bread and Jam, buttermilk, sambar, sweet, papad, puri, etc. Before college reopens, the portal allows us to book your hostel, we can book the required hostel and room no too.
