Overall a good college with lot of learning opportunities. Most people are kind except for some library guys.
Entrance Preview
IPU CET Rank - 5200 I opted for GTBIT because it is one of the best college in IPU and it is well connected by metro.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is very technical, lot of core electronics subjects and lab practice. Although placement happens in IT companies only so i would advice students to concentrate more on Programming subjects. Labs are good and well mantained. You have to put extra efforts if you want to learn more.
Internships Opportunities
Not many internship opportunities. Students have to put efforts on their own to get internship in MNC's.
Placement Experience
Placements opportunities are Good. Most of the ECE and CSE students gets placed in good companies. Start preparing from 6th sem onwards. Lot of Mass recruiters visit the college. I got placed in Infosys. They hired over 100 students from GTBIT. Dont worry too much if you are Good student. Just make sure you do not have any pending backlog while you appear in interview.

Campus Life
Campus life is open and cool. Gender ration is 60-40. Technicial fests are arranged in college. Robotics society is there .
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is not provided. Canteen offers fast food, better bring home made lunch.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are helpful. Alumni have good knowledge and they are professional. I had a great time at college. Great learning experience.
Exam Structure
Semester exams. Schedule is bit hectic. Sometimes your centre is MAIT , HMR or premsukh which are very far from city. College follows IPU exam system. You have to score minimum 50 to pass an examination. Make sure you do not more than backlog otherwise it will be difficult to manage with ongoing semester exams. Plus you have to pay extra exam fees.
Admission
IP university counselling was held at kashmiri gate(old centre of IPU). Counselling was held rank wise. Candidates were made to fill lot of forms with favourite course and college. One demand draft needs to be submitted along with required documents and medical fitness certificate. It took close to 4-5 hours for the process to get complete. There was a screen in hall which displayed remaining seats for various courses in colleges. Candidates can choose accordingly.
Faculty
Its a mix of experienced and young professors. They all have good knowledge in their subjects.
