I had given TANCET - Tamil Nadu Government Common Entrance for PG courses - MBA. I had obtained 49% and was the 54th Rank Holder across TN. I had an option between PSG Coimbatore and SSN. I prefered SSN as it was known for best MBA professors

The course curriculum is set by Anna University. This college comes under Anna University. Still the college faculties go beyond the syllabus and use best case studies from Harvard and other sources and teach us apart from the syllabus. They bring live industry experiences to the classroom and make sure we understand the concepts perfectly.

Yes. The college provides internships in reputed companies. The general stipend is 5k to 10k INR per month. I got an internship opportunity in GSK Consumer Healthcare with a stipend of 8k per month

Good placement opportunities are available. Companies across various industries provide placement to students. Some of the companies that came for placement in 2012 are GSK, TCS, HCL, Beroe, Zoho, MuSigma, Axis Bank, Justdial, etc. Average offer used to 4.5 lac per annum in these companies but depending on previous experience was high upto 5.5 lac to 6 lacs for some candidates

SSN is a big campus of more than 200 acres. It often hosts technical, cultural and management festivals. Cultural festival is called Instincts and happens during March every year with more than 10000 visitors each year. Management Festival is called Daksha and it is a well known recognised event where famous dignitaries take part.

It was 1.2 lakhs per year during 2010-2012 when I studied. This includes college fees and hostel fees. This includes books as well. Exam fees will be 300 per paper (We used to have around 15 papers every year. Apart from that a mess bill of Rs.1800 to Rs.2000 will be applicable.

College offers scholarships - merit, also merit-cum-means scholarships to deserving students to the tune of Rs. 4 crore every year. There used to be a scholarship award function to congratulate the awardees

There is a equal representation of both genders in the college. It is a beautiful campus and it is a very liberal college. The campus is wifi enabled with good fast connectivity. College has cycles to go around the campus. Its a beautiful campus with full of trees. The campus is featured in a lot of Tamil Movies. The college has a huge 1000 seater auditorium.

Hostels are best in town. All PG students get an individual room approximately 100 sqft in size. There used to be a balcony attached to every room.We have TT tables in the hostel itself. Apart from this there is a sports complex with Basket Ball Courts (Indoor and Outdoor), Sqaash, TT, etc that hostelers can avail of.

The alumni network is strong and alumni comes back to colleges especially during the management festivals. We have a alumni whatsapp group of representatives from each batch who will inturn pass on info to their batches.

Exam structure was determined by Anna University as this college was affiliated to Anna University. Exams will be conducted every alternate day giving enough time to prepare for the next exam. It will be a pen and paper exam for 100 marks. The duration will be for 3 hours. And students will be graded - S, A, B, C, D, E.based on the marks obtained

I had written the TANCET exam and then there was a single window counselling for admission across all the colleges. I had applied for this counselling and then during counselling had chosen this college. There will be no separate interview if you choose a college in this counselling under government quota. If you need to get a seat under the management quota you will need to sit for a interview which will be conducted by SSN.

The college has the best faculty members. Many Professors with 2 decades of industry experience are teaching here. They bring live industry scenarios to the class to explain the concepts. The college has a perfect mix of best academicians and industry people to teach various subjects. I have had adjunct faculty members from top companies taking classes. CXOs of various companies were adjunct faculty members here
