Remarks

Education and exposure wise my experience has been really good. College infrastructure can be improved however minimum required facilities are available. Hostel facilities have a good scope of improvement. College management is pretty average as far as permanent faculty is considered however the visiting faculty of college give a very good direction to the overall management of the college.

Entrance Preview

I took CET. I scored 99.83 percentile. It was my dream to get in JBIMS for the best MBA education. Also there are very notable people in the business industry from my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is average. More than course curriculum it is about the professors who has a very good subject hold and share their industry experiences. Their methodology of teaching is extremely good. Also they come from a very high positions from the industry to provide an exhaustive view of any subject.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there is an internship of approx. 2 months. Stipend depends on the companies. Average stipend when i passed out from the institute was around 20 thousand.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are quite good. All the students were placed. All the good companies from finance, marketing and other areas like HUL, Mackensy, P&G, City, J P morgan etc. have come. For more reference you can refer the college website. The payment varied according to companies. Average package at my time was around 8 to 9 lac. Highest going upto 16 lac for domestic and 26 lac for international placements.

College Events

4.5

College has got no. of competitions and a main festival known as Prayaag. The various events included are case study presentations, quiz, paper presentations. People from various colleges mostly from top MBA institutes in India participate in the events. There are not much technical and cultural festivals which can be included. One really good paper presentation competition held separately every year is strategy with all the social and other issues. Various industry experts come as a judge for it. More information can be sought from college website.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think its 2nd lowest in India. Close to 1 lac per year. Also bank loans are easily available. This fee is called tuition fee. Other expense required are expenses for laptop and other study expenses. People living in hostel has to bear hostel expenses towards stay and food.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the fees of the college are very low there are no scholarships required and available. However bank loans are easily available.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is poor. We had only 18 girls out of total 120 students in a batch. Labs are average.Library has variety and exhaustive types of books but the library infra is average. Sports are not much part of the college. Events are already explained early.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was not part of hostel. But my college friends stayed there. Its a government hostel near church-gate station. Hostel rooms are average and food is also average. However there are lot of food options available nearby. Hostel rooms are limited so people from out of Mumbai can only be accommodated. Rentals are very low and manageable.

Alumni/Alumna

College alumni is the strongest point of college. Quiet a good alumni interaction. Most of the visiting faculty are alumni. Seniors are helpful.

Exam Structure

Written exam was of 200 marks for 2.5 hours. It was mostly testing speed and accuracy as we had to complete 200 questions in 150 minutes. So one need to be very quick in answering questions on the exam day. Topics included were logic, verbal, data interpretation and analysis, visual reasoning etc. The exam structure was interesting and not hectic. If one is well prepared then its an enjoyable experience. The exam halls are mostly from the school or colleges. The people who got MBA, engineering colleges as centre have got better facilities like ac rooms etc. compared to people who got schools as their exam centre.

Admission

There was a written test of 200 marks (CET exam) followed by Group discussion and Personal interview (17 marks each). Total score considered is 240 including marks for educational qualification. I got 99.83 percentile in written and qualifying marks in GD PI and got admission.

Faculty

4.5

Visiting professors are extremely good. Permanent faculty is average. All the professors are well qualified. They have very good hold of the subject and share their industry experiences. Their methodology of teaching is extremely good. Also they come from a very high positions from the industry to provide an exhaustive view of any subject.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
