Remarks

The management cares little about the students in particular to be honest. Being a sarkari college after all. I guess the classes can run for a few more days as the course is large and seldom gets at completed. The main problem is that no one here wants t

Entrance Preview

I took bhu's own enterence test and scored 278 but checked each and every answer from credible sources and I should have scored around 324 but the answer key was horribly wrong. Anyways I got in even with that scoreThe main reason of joining bhu was that this was the best college in nearby area and the fees was low. The sheet of paper you get at the end of the 3 years holds some respect.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is horribly obsolete and there's no practical knowledge imparted whatsoeverYou get to choose between finance marketing and banking in the last semester. Which will determine to the six subjects you study in that semester. All other subjects are the same for everyone.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship available for anyone from the college and to be honest it is very tough to find somewhere in Varanasi where you can do internship.

Placement Experience

1

There are a few job placements but there offer a meagre salary of about 20-30 thousand p.m.The companies are not multinationals. Just medium size companies only a small number are placed anyways and the number also stays low because most students want to pursue higher education or want to get into government jobs otherwise.I myself am preparing for MBA and so are many of my friends but many who don't want to do an MBA or CA at least want to do M.Com to get better jobs to be honest the packages offered are not good enough. If you deserve 50 you'll get 25 if you deserve 40 then You'll be offered 20 offer.

College Events

2

There are 2 college fests in BHU that faculty of commerce participates in and you'll love it.Spandan. Bhu's college fest of a big deal and you also have IIT bhu's college fest that's a little smallerThe quality of competition is very good at spandan particularlyThere are also a few smaller events that come by time to time and university level sports competition too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the best part. The fees is a 3000 for the full year. That was my monthly school feesThat is for general category students others have to pay even less. The students belonging to SC and ST categories don't have to pay even a thousand bucks. It's almost free. The OBCs are asked to pay as much as we pay i.e. the general categories.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's no need to take a loan for BHU I guess but if you need it you can get it very easily. There is scholarships available to reserved categories students very easily. Not so easily for general category to be honest.

Campus Life

1

The gender ratio is not great but OK considering the situation in most higher educational institutes is about 2:1 in favour of guysFaculty of commerce in particular stays away from politics and there's no sort of discrimination here. There are fresher's parties that you can enjoy in but there's no other party. Rarely are there any workshops but 1or 2 small ones in a year.Yes there is diversity at bhu you can see locals as well as people from Nepal and Bhutan who come here to study.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility at bhu is not very great to be honest but the mess is very good. There's obviously no replacement for your home but the mess won't add to your misery for sureThe hostel facility is not available to anyone living within 100kms radius an

Alumni/Alumna

You can interact with the seniors in particular and they are very helpful. There is little contact with the alumnis on the other handThe seniors here will help you out in understanding the exam structure and how to adjust here and are very helpful in particular if you interact.

Exam Structure

To be honest you have a hint of the questions that will appear in the exam in most subjects but there are few papers when you have no idea and that is when life gets very tough. You'll know when to be careful when you get here. There's little check of the

Faculty

3

The faculty is experienced and is knowledgeable (Mostly). The old professors, vthough they are experienced, are a little lazy too. The faculty is under transition and the new professors coming in are more dynamic and hardworking. It is important you mainta

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.Com course curriculum in my college is quite relevant and well structured. It covers core commerce subjects like accounting, business studies, and economics, which helped me choose this course. The syllabus mainly focuses on building strong theoretical fundamentals, which is useful for students planning higher studies such as M.Com, MBA, or professional courses like CA. The curriculum prepares students reasonably well for academic purposes, but there is still scope for improvement in terms of real-world exposure. More practical learning, case studies, presentations, and industry interaction would make the course more skill-oriented and career-focused. The college follows the semester system with internal and external examinations conducted regularly. The exams are of moderate difficulty level. Students who attend classes regularly, complete assignments, and study consistently can pass and score good marks.
