Admission to this college can be taken in two ways. 1)Counselling through TS EAMCET(70% seats) 2)Category B(30% seats) a)Through Jee Mains b)Top marks in State Board c)Management Quota For getting admission to this college in CSE through EAMCET you will have to get at least 25000(general category). Whereas category b is given to the best-scoring students among those who applied category b. Management Quota is decided by college management there is no particular number. You'll have to discuss it with the college directly.
Course Curriculum Overview
SICET is actually known for the CSE branch rather than other core branches. The college infrastructure is a little old but has all the equipment needed. Most of the faculty is well trained and qualified. The rules on the college premises are stringent. But the placements are quite decent so it's all worth it. Where the top placement is 20 LPA and the average is 4.5 LPA.
Internships Opportunities
They are actually been only a few internships this year and around 30-40 people got the internship and they were getting paid somewhere around 15000 to 25000 per month. All so many of them actually recruited them as full-time employees
Placement Experience
You'll be eligible to apply or attend the campus placements for 2 semesters of your 3rd year. Many MNCs, service-based companies and start-ups visit for the placements while the most famous ones being amazon, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Wells Fargo. The highest Package is from Wells Fargo being 20 LPA and the average package is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiter is Wipro. Almost 90 per cent of students get placed in some or the other job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees are 115000 per annum and 12000 extra for university and library fees. However, if you got admission through counselling and your family income is less than 2 LPA then the govt pays 35000 from their side and if you are from minorities the total fee is waived. A 100% fee waiver is also applicable for students who got less than 10000 in EAMCET.
Campus Life
Unfortunately, there aren't many events in college but there are a lot of technical and nontechnical events always going on in the college like codeathon, hackathons, excellencia, etc. There is a good collection of books and all the students make proper use of the library. Everything looks great from the outside but inside all the classrooms look old there are good configuration computer labs
