Brief about SJCE College Mysore

I was admitted to college through KCET. First, we have to give preference to college and courses in that college. According to the rank reservation, they will allot one college and one course. After the allotment of college, we have to take a printout of the acknowledgment which is available after the allotment on the KCET website. After that, we have to go to the allotted college with all the required documents. Then we have to submit documents for verification after paying fees ( it is different for aided and unaided seats). I got a seat under aided allotment therefore I paid fees of around 56000, after payment we have to submit a payment slip. then they will give fee receipts and student registration numbers. these are processes involved in admission. After that, they will conduct an induction program to make students get familiar with the college environment.

I was actually interested in Electronics and communication and my rank was pretty good (2393) so I got an aided seat. Coming to facilities and faculty our college has one of the best infrastructures in Mysore and faculty strength is also good in a number. But when it comes to teaching our department has both the best and average lectures. In our college, we have 3 tests and 2 events, and one sem-end exam for each sem. The tests are conducted according to the calendar of events there is no delay in that. The test difficulty is moderate, but events are a bit headache because we have to do one project for each subject therefore it is quite hectic as compared to that of the computer science department

Placements are good enough in our college, from the 6th sem the students would be eligible for campus placements. Many companies like MBRDI, ROBERT BOSCH, VISTEON, INFINERA, HPE, SAMSUNG, LogMeIn, etc 190+ companies would visit our college. if the student is in EC, CSE, CSBS, or IS the probability of getting placed with a very good package would be very high. In our class, nearly 90% of the students got placed with a 10+lpa package. Most of the students would get internship offers in the company in which they are placed. The highest package is around 39 LPA. I got placed in more with a package offering 10 LPA.

when it comes to fee hikes, every year there will be a hike of 2000. But we have good and different scholarship opportunities. The first one is state scholarship, all students who have an annual income of fewer than 3 lacks can apply for it. With this scholarship, we get our tuition fees. Which will be around 19000. The next scholarship is a national scholarship all students can apply for this but some criterion has to be passed in order to attain this which would be mentioned on the official website, in this scholarship we would get around 10000. Other private scholarships are also available but students have to check regularly and apply personally. Now coming to campus our college has the best campus opportunities. I got placed in MBRDI for 10lpa.In our class, 90% of students got placed for 10lpa or above.

We have different clubs in our college and the best annual fest. Our college fest is famous in Mysore and outside Mysore also. The name of the annual fest is JAYCIANA. JAYCIANA will be conducted for 3 days. It's a continuous 3 days fest, No classes would be conducted during these celebrations. Lots of celebrities would come to this fest and last will be the DJ night. This is about the annual fest. But there will lot of events and fest conducted by the club. We have clubs for everything. We have a dancing club named gravity, a singing club named NAADA, a technical club called IEEE, We have photography club called Photon. When it comes to sports and extracurricular activities our college has opportunities for this also. We well developed sports grounds for various sports. we have indoor games. we have a gym which is free for students. Inter and Intra college sports activities would be conducted every year.
