Remarks

There was no such entrance examination for admission to Poornima College of Engineering. However, the admission process was very smooth and the fees and short process. There can be less document work but it was still the faculties helped enough.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech in Information Technology is a nice course it is almost the same as a computer science course but there's a really bad misconception among students that computer science is better than information technology. All the faculties are good.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities offered by the college's placement cell are good students who are determined to get a good placement are always treated well and are given all the support needed with training as well as references.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers different payment methods except for cash payment but the bad thing is that they do not support Cheque payments. And the payment structure is just decided by the administration with no concern for students. Financial assistance is provided like scholarships for OBC and EBC.

Campus Life

There are various clubs in the college which might be interesting to some students they're of different types technical as well as nontechnical both of them help to learn skills soft or technical both. The college infrastructure might not be such a fancy one but got enough space in classrooms and a couple of seminar halls throughout the college for every department.

Hostel Facilities

The rented accommodation is good as well here there are various choices for staying like PG, Flats on rent, Hostels too but PGs and Flats are much better concerning freedom and food but as we all know hostel life is to be lived once in a lifetime for everyone.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

The placement of my college are good in electrical and mining branch the placement are very good while in other branch the placement is decent in this college many companies are visited like vedanta etc. many good companies are come here the 60 percent students are placed every year but in mining and ee the placement rate is almost 100 percent my plans after getting degree is to go in very good company with very good placement

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.
