I got my admission in Amritsar college of engineering and technology when I secured 88% in higher secondary examinations. I opted for this college as it is very well reputed and since my brother too had done his graduation from here.though i got possitive feedback from him.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was very theoretical for the course I chose, would have enjoyed if there was more interactive stuff and practical. For the course which i chose ,its more of theory in India as compare to other countries that's what made is boring. Thought study wise the college is great and teaches well but it suck ls when it comes to doing studies and other activities.
Placement Experience
Companies like idea and Tata Consultancy Services are frequent visitors at this college. Though the profiles offered are mostly in data entry or voice. It offers packages around Rs.2,00,000/- annually. Job placement is one area where the college really good in that .
Campus Life
To be frank there was no campus of the college but the location of the college was such that one never felt the lack of a campus. The gender ratio is 1:1 and there are students from every caste race and religion. The labs are very good overall the college is very good.
Faculty
The college has a very well defined combination of highly senior and experienced faculty, moderately experienced and young dynamic professors. It makes sure that the important topics in each subject are covered by field experts. The college also have a professor feedback system in place and it acts promptly on the feedback by students.
