SASTRA college review

Admissions are based on the 12th class marks and JEE exam marks. Once you apply for the college an All India rank will be given on your 12th standard marks against all the applications they got. There are also Management quota seats for the NRI students.

CSE Courses are well designed, and from the second year when you enter into your core branch you can choose elective subjects based on your interest. Experienced Faculty most of them have Ph.D. in their domain. A mentor will be assigned to you to help you all the years. There are 3 midterm exams and a Final exam per semester and the level of the exam will is hard only.

Placements are one of the features of the college. 100% placements are guaranteed. Students will be eligible to attend Placements from the 3rd-year 2nd semester. Before that, you can attend internships as well. Almost 1500 offers are made every year to students from 70 to 80 companies. Big companies like Google, Amazon, PayPal, TCS, CTS, WIPRO, and Infosys will also visit for hiring. The minimum CGPA for the companies will be 7 to 7.5.

The fees are pretty decent compared to the other colleges. The tuition fee per semester is 55000 and there will be a 5% hike every year. Hostel fees are 10000 and 3000 for food every month. From the second year, you will get scholarships based on your score in the previous semesters.

Campus life is really good. There are various clubs like Maths and Drama where you can participate. Being in a club you can participate in an intercollege competition. There is a technical fest and an Annual cultural fest which will happen for 3 days each, even other colleges also participate. There is an indoor gym, shuttle court, Tennis court, Volleyball, and Football ground. A central library is present which has large collections of books on all the core department subjects.

Hostel fees are 10000 per year. All types of rooms are available like single, double and four in one room. All rooms have sufficient racks. Fans, Lights are well maintained. There will be a mess at every hostel block. Mess fees are around 3000 every month. The mess will be given at the end of every month. The quality of the food and hygiene is very good. The taste is not so nice. Only vegetarian food will be served in the mess. Nonvegetarian food is not available inside the college, you can got outside the campus and have Nonveg food.
