Overall, it is a very good college, not only interm of study but also in terms of overall grooming of the student to make him ready for main stream jobs. Good facilities and good faculties complement the things.

SDM - IMD, Mysore, takes CAT for consideration, in 2007 I had about 80 percentile and got lucky to get admission in 2nd waiting list.Mentioning below are the points that any student should look into while choosing his college:Reputation - SDM - IMD have a very good reputation and constantly have moved up the rating presented by Outlook, year by year. Campus: - Amazing campus, very neat and clean facility, right next to Chamundi Hill and ethnic architect. Faculty: Mostly all the faculties are / were associated with IIM's and have great domain experience and knowledge.Grooming: Students are given an opportunity to manage and run everything in college, be it cultural festivals, sports, college shops, canteen and for the same students are doing all the budgeting. There are almost 20+ events conducted a year, managing that with very strict curriculum grooms candidate so well that he comes out to be job ready to take pressures. Further, college provides counselling sessions for which domain experts are hired, they conduct self assessment and train candidates for selection of right career path, job interviews and personality development.

Course curriculum is very strict due to trimester system and in addition there are fortnightly reviews. Also, the choice of opting major / dual streams is left to candidate so it creates a flexibility to study whichever subject the candidate wants in alignment to his career path. There are lot of presentation and role plays keep on happening almost every week that helps in development and removes public speaking fear and stage fears and improves presentation delivery skills. College also provides opportunity to students to participate in inter-college competitions.

Yes, the college helps to get companies for internship and conduct interviews.Sometimes, guest faculty also picks students for internship in their companies. Candidates are also allowed to call companies for internship to help other students. The internship is of 8 weeks, where a weekly report is required to be submitted to the designated mentor.

Placements are good, as college have good links with IT companies in South. Apart from IT, lot of other companies operating in different domains participate in campus placements, Advertising, Branding, Retail, Hospitality, Logistics Etc. On an average the package can be considered as 8L+ .

As people from different states enroll in the college program, it becomes very important to understand values of every festival, hence a cultural committee comes into picture, which organizes small cultural events on regional festivals. As college events, there are about 5-6 events one of which is National event called "Naissance" where is all colleges are invited. Also, an event is organised for alumni apart from this there are several other fun events that keep on happening time and again.

The college is run by a trust and hence the fee structure is not very expensive when compared to the facilities provided by the college.It gives single occupancy room to every student, sports complex, GYM, etc all facilities are covered its been about 6 years I have passed from the college hence i have no idea about the fee structure but it was very nominal when I did my MBA.

Not aware about current situation, but Scholarship / Loan was not given by college, but any one can take education loan from Govt. / Pvt. bank for the course.

Campus life is something that I miss until today after 6 years also, gender rating was close to 60:40. Lot of workshops, cultural events, society events etc. are conducted, Labs: Computer Lab, Library, Vedio Library etc. all facilities are within campus with LAN connected to every student room.

I would suggest if the committee help pass-out students with updated job opportunities so ex-students can have better options of job change.
