Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it offers various career opportunities. I personally have an interest in the food industry and this course helps to gain knowledge regarding the same. The faculty-student ratio is around 200:10. Faculty here is highly qualified and knowledgeable. They use teaching methods that build interest in students to study the topics more. Semester exams are held every 6 months and are easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
I didn't go for an internship opportunity on campus. Companies like food industry ltd, and ONGC have visited the campus. They offered a stipend of around 6-10k for 3 months. An internship can be done at the end of every year.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the 4th semester. Companies like food industry ltd, ONGC, and chemical industry Pvt ltd have visited our campus. The highest package offered was around 11 lakhs and the lowest package offered was around 5 lakhs. Around 70-75% of students got placed in different companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is minimal here, ie. Around 40k per annum. Scholarships are provided at the time of admission. Internships are offered with a stipend of around 5k to 10k per month. I didn't opt for an internship personally.
Campus Life
The cultural fest is held once every year in the month of May. The library has got a well-stocked collection of semester books. Semester books can be easily borrowed from the library. ACs and wifi are not provided inside the campus. Sports fest is held every year to boost enthusiasm in students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms consist of two beds, three beds and a single bed in each room. The mess provides meals at a given time and food is acceptable and hygienic. A variety of food is offered to the students. Hostel facilities can be availed at the time of admission itself or through the website.
Admission
Students who score more than 50% in 12th are eligible for BSc Hons. Application forms can be filled out online through the college website. Scholarships are provided at the time of admission itself. Different eligibility criteria are used in order to avail of scholarships.
