Course Curriculum Overview

I scored 324 marks in BITSAT and got an ENI branch on the Pilani campus. As far as it goes for the electronics department, the faculties are highly qualified and many of them have written research papers published in journals acknowledged worldwide.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies visit the campus for the intern season but it is mainly the circuital branches that get an intern (primarily CS). PS station based on CGPA gives industrial experience to every student even offering PPO to many of them.

Placement Experience

College placements majorly depend upon the branch of the student but then there are some people who make good use of the platform they get and secure high-paid jobs even from non-circuit branches. Cgpa plays a very important role for students in PS stations.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in BITS are very high and get increased by 10% every year. It is roughly 6-7 lakh per year including hostel fees. Financial assistance is provided to students whose parental income is less than 11-12 lakh p.a. based on the cgpa they get.

Campus Life

There are three fests - OASIS is the cultural fest and is considered the second largest fest in Asia. BOSM, the sports fest is conducted in the winter semester along with OASIS. APOGEE is the technical fest conducted in the Summer semester.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel and mess facilities are pretty good. Breakfast consists of bread, jam, omelet/boiled eggs, milk, fruit, and one item that could be poha, upma, dosa, chole kulche, or parantha. The other two meals also consist of a number of items and the food they serve is very good as per the general mess standards.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

Admission to BITS Pilani is through the exam of BITSAT. The application form is available on the BITS Pilani website. There is 0% reservation in BITS and the exam is conducted twice a year. The application details are updated on the website.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

The placement of my college are good in electrical and mining branch the placement are very good while in other branch the placement is decent in this college many companies are visited like vedanta etc. many good companies are come here the 60 percent students are placed every year but in mining and ee the placement rate is almost 100 percent my plans after getting degree is to go in very good company with very good placement

Placement Experience:

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

BITS Pilani- A relevant review of Pharmacy

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey. The admission process is through the BITSAT exam, an online test includes Physics, Chemistry and Maths and English and Logical Reasoning. There is no reservation policy.
