Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE because I'm really fascinated by the digital world. I'm purely fancied by the sector of Game Development and 3d Modelling in certain software. While I might not know the exact faculty:student ratio, I can say for sure is that the ratio is good enough for the university to have teachers whenever and wherever they're required. The quality of professionalism depicted by the faculty is decent, though I did experience some sort of homophobia amongst a few teachers. I don't really appreciate the education system being followed by the university since the exams ~ FAs | STs | ETFs happen so often and the semester is literally rushed to climax as soon as they can. This puts a great amount of pressure on the students and I've gone through it myself.
Placement Experience
As far as I know, the students are eligible for internships and placements from their 3rd year. There are indeed a few on-Campus internship opportunities as well if you're lucky enough to stumble upon them. Since I'm still in my 2nd year. I have very little knowledge of the placement thing. Though I do know for sure that a vast majority of students were placed in different companies last year. I'm planning on either having my own startup or applying to Riot Games or Discord.
Fees and Financial Aid
My Academic Fees have always been Rs. 82,000. There hasn't been any hike in the academic fees since I enrolled. However, my hostel spike has experienced some amount of increment each semester. The hostel fees, which include hostel fees + mess food fees + laundry fees + other expenses + Rs. 5,000 of security, for each semester is as follows: - 1st sem = Rs. 17,000 (approx.) - 2nd sem = Rs. 36,000 (approx.) - 3rd sem = Rs. 56,000 (approx.) - 4th sem = Rs. 69,750 (exact) The hostel fees varies from room to room since there are different types of room available which you either be alloted with or you can switch to if available (4 seater, 3 seater, 2 seater, 3-sharing Single seater Cubicle) + (AC, Non-AC). To me, the fees seems appropriate and there are no hidden fees or whatever.
Campus Life
I haven't really witnessed any huge fest since after COVID, things changed. Though there have been a couple of events like Treasure Hunt, Open Mic, etc., and such events are held all the time irrespective of the month. The library is something I love the most about this University, there are a ton of the latest books on literally everything you'd ever wonder about. The vibe of the library is so decent that I spend most of my free time there. There are around 10 MacBooks and a few tablets that the students can use within the library. The classrooms are decently built, there are power sockets on the desk, but most of them don't work. Half of them are broken, the ones in the front rows do work surprisingly There are tons of sports that you can go for, you can get the sports stuff from the Sports Room for a particular duration like balls, rackets, etc. There is a sports membership too, which lets you enjoy perks such as free shuttlecocks for badminton, etc. There are a ton of Clubs.
Admission
I appeared for the JEE exam in the year 2021. Since it was a COVID year, the university didn't ask for any entrance exam mark sheet or percentage. The admission was done on the basis of the marks in classes 10th and 12th. I didn't apply for any reservation benefits and the application forms can be found on the official website of the university they generally open up around August. Talking about the part where there's an improvement required is the freedom of choice of room, in case you opt for hostels. When I enrolled in the university, I wasn't really given any choice to select the type of my room (like AC ~ Non-AC, etc.), rather I was alloted a random room with random students from my batch.
