I had a good interest in machines, a technology from my schooling days and then I decided to go with mechanical engineering which is an evergreen branch of engineering. There is different professor for every field in mechanical engineering you have to study thermal, design, production, etc. and this college has a good number of faculty. They all are masters in their field and chothani sir was a gold medalist and he is a brilliant professor. GEC Rajkot has 60 seats in mechanical engineering. There are also projector facilities so we can get knowledge easily through ppts and videos. There is a mid-term and final gtu exam. In the mid-term, you have to give 30 mark exam and in the final, you have to give 70 mark exam. But it was not tough you can pass easily.

Yes, you can get a scholarship as per your cast category and also the mukhyamantri scholarship scheme. If you are an SC student then you get around 10k, for ST 12k, obc 8k under regular scholarship and you also get mysy scholarship but you can't get both. You have to fee 1500 per year for education. And also you have to pay library fees, stationary fees, gym fees but we don't get all facilities and we have to pay those fees. That was disgusting. And about placement in mechanical engineering, there were almost no placement facilities in our academic career but now you can get some jobs through college and professors can give you references to local companies of Rajkot cities. So you can get jobs that way also.

Yes, every year our college organizes a tech fest called BRIZINGR. And there were many types of events like tech, and nontech. I was also the coordinator in 2018 brizingr and we had too much fun there. There are good library facilities. You can get the book as per your branch also good reading area and proper silence there. You can get 3 books with your Library card and then you have to renew it or you can change it. yes, there is sports week around march month. In sports week, there are games like cricket, carrom, and indoor games. Classrooms have a bench, board, projector, Wi-Fi .yes there is an alumni group that is run by seniors.

There is 3 to 4 coordinator for our admission form fill-up. And we thanked them for their help, they are our seniors. You can reach the admin office and collect the admission form and then you have to submit it to your department. You have to pass HSC and JEE exams for admission in 2015. But the rules changed and now you have to clear HSC and GUJCET exams to get admission to GEC Rajkot. Yes, there is a reservation benefit as per your cast like sc st obc. I can't remember perfectly about the application fees but it was about 50rs.
