I landed unwillingly but eventually will learn to live

The course curriculum is good as seen from the subjects and particular branch related point of view. Also, there are mostly tech-related courses that are in high demand as seen from the future and society in the present. I chose the course i.e. BTech ECE-AI for my jee rank this was the best I could get. Honestly, the course is circuital which increases my probability to be considered to a place in the near future or getting an internship opportunity. The faculty: student ratio is nearly about 1:4 which is kinda good as here the Ph.D. scholars are filling the position of faculties. Honestly my course i.e. the branch I study has guest faculties most of the time, also not to mention that they aren't that pro of a teacher sometimes. But they show enthusiasm for whatever it takes. Qualification of the faculty would be Ph.D. in particular fields not to mention which has a little negative section as they require experience and sheer knowledge. In my pov teaching method is a bit neglected i.e. notes are shared.

The fee structure is a bit high as it is considered to be a government Authorization. The fee structure has a 10% hike each successive year. But this year is a blast as there's a 40% hike in the fees for fresh admissions for the hostel which is not very likely to be done. The scholarships have not been availed to me yet. Being a first-year student I haven't gotten any financial assistance or an on-campus job with a stipend.

The campus life here at IGDTUW is not that fascinating as compared to other JAC Delhi universities as our campus is basically rented over other's property which implies the campus area is really small but it doesn't matter as we only attend classes and come back to the hostel, not kidding though. The annual fest here is named TARANGANA. The field here is awesome with celebrities like Javed Ali and many more. Haven't heard of tech fest yet. But who knows about the future. There's no availability of books or journals as there is a race to get them at the library. There are no amenities as such except for the projector which has never been used since my welcome in the college. But here sports and extracurricular activities are being prioritized as there are martial arts sessions in the morning followed by the dancing girls of the society called HYPNOTICS and many more including basketball and football. The social clubs run by students are GDSC(tech club), LEAN IN(tech) TARANNUM(music club), and REHNUMA (drama).

The admission process was on the basis of jee mains entrance exam. I gave the same to get into this particular college. The cutoff percentile for the general category was 93. Preceding to select other categories. The application form was through the counseling process at JAC Delhi, where the dates of application were mentioned and the counseling took place accordingly. The application fees and everything was mentioned on the site of my college i.e. IGDTUW. They claim to have reservations about fee concession for students from economically weaker sections but I have not been able to avail myself of it till now as belonging to the category. The improvement that should be availed in the admission process is that there should be more admission for students from outside the Delhi region, this college has an 85% reservation for the students who belong to Delhi, and this should be more of a 50%-50% ratio.
