Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BTECH CSE because of the less intake. Whole CSE class just has 120 members. And the course curriculum is different from the state and other collages. The faculty is well qualified and has degrees from top collages in India. The course is difficult and challenging.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer interships to the students who are academically good. Companies like Deshaw, cognizant and many more offer interships. They start from 4th year. A student go to other city for internship from the 7th semester. And the projects help with the credits
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from 6th semester. Most of the companies look for a minimum criteria of 7 CGPA. There are many companies visiting our campus every year and CSE students are getting most of the offers. The highest oncampus package is 34 lakhs and average is 10 lakhs. Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is almost 5 lakhs for the 2022 intake batch. A student can avail scholarship on the basis of financial background, sports scholarship. You can even do oncampus jobs. PhD students can teach btech students and be their tutors which is an on campus job. The fees of 5 lakhs includes everything from tuition fee, hostel to mess fee
Campus Life
Our collage is known for its campus life. We have fests every month but the main fest is in March which is known as breeze. We can get books in the library by scanning our ID cards. But it isn't that necessary as lecturers mail us the books in the online format. Classrooms are well equipped with smartboards, projectors and proper ventilation. It is also air conditioned. Our collage has many sports such as football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, horse riding, a well equipped gym and a golf course too. We have SNU explorer it's a website founded and run by the students which helps other students to navigate through the huge campus incase they get lost or acts as a map for newcomers.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostels are pretty clean. It's a 4 sharing for the first years and we can opt for 2 sharing from the second year. We can even avail airconditioner rooms. We have common rooms in hostel where we can watch TV or chill with friends, a games room where we have foosball, air hockey, a pantry for each hostel block where we have oven, toaster, a pan. The meals and food in the dining hall is good too. They follow proper hygiene rules. The menu consists of mostly North Indian food. The food is not that spicy. Every student should stay in hostel at SNU.
Admission
You need a minimum criteria of 65 percent in board exams. You can find the application in its website and fill the form. The exam fee is 1900. The exam is conducted in three phases. A student can avail admission by either writing the exam which is conducted by the collage which is SNUSAT or through JEE score or SAT exam. There are no reservation benefits. But a student can avail schola6on the basis of financial background. There's no cutoff for SNUSAT. If you get selected you'll get a selection mail.
