Good college to study

I was interested in pharmacy. To know about the specific drugs used to treat a particular disease and its mechanism of working was my keen interest. There is a one to one-half ratio of faculty to student ratio. Most of our professors have their degrees and also had done Ph.D. Our semester ends in 4-5 months so term end occurs every 4 months.

Various companies like torrent, Apollo, and health pharma come and offer us internships. The stipend given by these and other companies is very less. We just get a stipend of 1000 to 2000. Other industrial visits are organized in the 7th semester.

From the 7th or 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like torrent have visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 25 lakhs per annum. An average package from our university is 15 lakhs per annum. Once I get the degree I may pursue M. Pharm.

Our course fees are high. It is difficult to afford such high fees to middle-class people. Our annual fee is 204000. Yet no scholarship is awarded to us and there is no opportunity for a scholarship.

Life is not as easy as thought on campus. No chilling time you get to have on campus. Every week we have exams. We have 3-4 hours of lectures and 4 hours of practical sessions. There are various clubs but they are not much active. There is one manual fest named NuZeal. The library has books by various authors but not in ample amounts.

Various facilities are provided like ac rooms access to some people. The food in the mess is good. Any of the students can register for getting admission to the hostel. But its prices are a bit higher so not everyone can afford it.

My father is a businessman. He constructs bridges. My mother is a homemaker. I have done my higher secondary schooling in Ahmedabad. Currently, I am pursuing a pharmacy at Nirma University. I am currently doing B. Pharm.
