My Review for SASTRA University

As I had interest in ECE field, I took that but later on I decided to jump into data analytics field and it's going pretty good. The faculty:student ratio would be around 1:20. The faculties have sound knowledge in their respective field and most importantly they are approachable and friendly too. Mostly everyone have done their pHd too. So in exam point of view, don't think that it's a piece of cake. The syllabus of SASTRA has a very good standard and there would be 3 mid term exams before the end semester exams. So the mid term exams would be for 40 and the best of two would be considered meanwhile the semester exams would be for 100.

In my field(ECE), there are no internship opportunities in my college. If you wanna gain some experience, you can go to implant training to some other companies and get an idea about the industries work etc.

* From 7th semester *TCS,CTS,Wipro,Accenture,Amazon,EY,KPMG,Deloitte, JP Morgan etc. *Highest Salary-27LPA from Amazon *Average Salary-4LPA from CTS *Percentage of students getting placements-98%(To my knowledge) *I'm gonna pursue masters after UG.

SASTRA doesn't provide on campus jobs and all but they do provide scholarships for those have contributed to their field and most importantly if you are eligible(CGPA), you can do your final semester outside the country if you wish in reputated universities. So the fees structure would be around 1.5 lakhs per year excluding hostel and mess fees.

* There are many fests which would be a happening often are Theta,Kuruksastra etc and other tech fests too. * Not gonna lie, but they do have a tremendous and world class library facility for the students equipped with Wifi and they have up to date books and journals. * Classrooms are simple like every colleges. They have bench along with the desk to sit and fans all around. * Annual sports day would be conducted each and every year and other extra curricular activities like NCC,NSS are also available. * As I have passed out, to my knowledge there is a website for students run by students but I don't have a sound knowledge in that.

After completing my High School, I gave my JEE mains and I could not clear that. Despite I had not secured a good score, giving JEE gave me a good chance in getting a seat. So eligibility was to get above 9 CGPA in CBSE, if you are from State board, it would be around 90% and 12th std, it would be better if you score above 550+/600(For Tamil nadu stateboard) and just write JEE even though you haven't prepared well. You can get the application form from the Office of SASTRA University. But getting a seat in the main campus(Thanjavur) is not an easy joke. So get an application for SRC campus also, which is located in Kumbakonam. The colleges are same and you would get the same opportunity as the main campus students.
