Remarks

Management is quite strict and imposes their will on the students. Any infraction on your part will earn you their displeasure and will reflect on your entire life in the college.

Entrance Preview

IPU CET. Rank - 10290. Had the choice between BVP and here. Chose this because of earlier reviews. But was unpleasantly disappointed

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum is very rigid and restrictive, not allowing for exploration beyond the set boundaries of the status quo. The method of delivery is also highly inefficient leading to a decline in interest in the subject and the course at large in the mind of the students. I myself started to bate science after i got into the college.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not provided by the college. You have to search on your own. A NOC has to be obtained from the placement cell before you go ahead.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are generally in the 3-3.5 LPA range for mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Accenture because they are sabke maseeha. Apart from that, some high profile companies do come but are very selective. And only CSE students go forward for these placements. In fact all branches eventually end up in CSE-type jobs only.

College Events

1.5

Officially there is a Cultural Fest and a Tech Festival but unofficially there is absolutely nothing, all you get is a badly managed orgy of people running around with walkie talkies with little to no support fron the administration as they prioritize studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is pretty decent, considering the fact that many books are provided free of cost from the Book Bank. As compared to other private engineering colleges, the fee is very nominal and the facilities provided are also quite good. Except the ground, we are not allowed to sit there as it ' spoils the look'

Fees and Financial Aid

No, nothing of that sort, they take money, thay don't give it. Its not a charity afterall, it's an organisation.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is as dull as you want. Any attempts at fun are struck down by the administration. You are not allowed to sit in the common areas even 2 mins after the break. You are not allowed to sit in the ground as it 'spoils the look'. The sex ratio is rather bad since its an engineering college. All competitions except technical ones are looked down upon because soft skills are a myth. Which is why its no big surprise that most of the guys here can't properly converse in either their mother tongue or English. Come to think of it, neither can the teachers.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I haven't lived in the hostel and therefore cannot comment. But from what I have heard, it's pretty decent but getting rooms after the 1st year proves to be a task since the occupancy is limited. A lot of strings have to be pulled in order to get the video room.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are generally fun as they are in the same boat and nayya par toh karni hai. They do help out a lot and are generally not in the college because let's face it, who'd wanna be?

Exam Structure

Exams take place 3 times a year, 2 Internals and one external. As for labs, we have one week of practical examinations. Internal exams are generally just a formality. Externals are marked on the amount of words you write. Backs are awarded in very few cases, normally everyone goes through.

Admission

Gave the IPU CET, took part in counseling and got allotted this in the sliding round. Tried to get an upgradation in spot but could not. The process after that was pretty straightforward. Go to the college, get your documents verifies and pay the fee.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is fine, teachers impart knowledge from the books to the students and the students use guides to impart knowledge to the examiner. Everyone is a delivery vessel. No learning takes place due to the acute lack of interest and the need of the authorities to push their agenda. Free thought is limited.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
