Review of HBTU Kanpur

My branch is computer science and engineering. I choose this because I have an interest in coding and the placement offer in this course this very high. In this college placement percentage in this course is 100%. Its average package is 18 lakhs. Here the faculty are well qualified but the teaching method is okay. The faculty-student ratio is 1:70. If you attend only lectures daily then even you can get very good marks. Here the exams are not that difficult as compared to aktu.

There are a lot of companies that provide internships to college students who are currently in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years. They also pay a high stipend of more than 20000. The company include Adobe, Microsoft, etc

Students from the 7th semester become eligible to sit in campus placements. Here the placement offer is very nice not only in tech company even in the core sector great offers are offered during placement time. As a student of the CSE branch, I can tell you here in the CSE branch there is 100% placement. Currently, this year's highest package offered is a 1.15 cr offered by Amazon and the average package is 16 lakh for CSE. Many companies visited the campus like Amazon, Samsung, Adani Wilmar, Cognizant, Reliance, IBM, Wipro, etc My plan is to enhance my skills and get a job.

The fees are very much high as a government college. Fee Structure - Course fees - 135000 per year Hostel fees - 61000 per year Scholarship- If you got a fee waiver seat then the 70k fee will be reduced by the college. You can also apply for UP scholarship and there are several NGOs that provide scholarships. The college didn't provide any type of scholarship to students.

ADHYAAY is the annual tech fest in which many people participate from other colleges like IIT Kanpur, IET Lucknow, etc. It is conducted in starting of December. Here the library is open from 9 am to 9 pm. Every type of book and journal is available in the library. The library is huge and has many new and old books. In college sports and extracurricular activities are appreciated. We have a sports sub-council under which all the sports like cricket and badminton have their clubs. In the college, there is a cricket ground, badminton court, basketball court, football ground, and table tennis. There are many clubs run by students for students such as sports clubs, dance clubs, literary clubs, print, and social media clubs, and many more.

The hostel is very nice as compared to many private or even some iit's or nit's. The hostel fee structure is - Hostel fee - 21250 per year Mess fee - 39750 per year The quality of meals is very good and the mess menu is decided by the mess secretary which is chosen by all the hostel students. The mess menu changes after a regular interval of time. Resignation process for a hostel - You have to first fill out the form in the ERP portal at the HBTU website then you have to fill out the hostel form which will provide on the website and then submit an online fee of 21250 for the hostel and 21750 for the mess. The only disadvantage is that it is 5km away from the main campus. The locality near the college is good except for some areas of Nawabganj.

I have taken admitted through JEE mains rank and then HBTU counseling. If your rank is around 15-25k then you can get computer science and engineering at this university. I have availed reservation benefit so if you too want to get reservation benefit then you should have your caste certificate for OBC you can have a state certificate or central certificate is also valid and for sc/st both state/central are applicable.
