This university is a dream come true for me

I chose this course because I want to start up my own company and be its CEO. Also, I think if I get a job opportunity I will try to become an HR or CA. The number of teachers to Student ratio is about 1:7 there are around 14 faculty members in our department and we have about 79 students in each classroom. In our 1st Year, the teacher have qualified B.Sc, M.Sc and some have completed their PhD from well-known universities and some are from our university only. The exams occur monthly and we have a final semester exam twice every year.

In Companies like Flipkart and Amazon, the highest job role given was Marketing Head. The Placement Cell in this university is really active the brings many companies for placement like Just Dial, ICICI Bank, and Cipla are huge recruiters.

Students in the 5th semester are eligible for campus placements and final-year students complete their internship before graduation. The Companies that usually visit this university are Wipro, Cipla, Flipkart, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Bank of Baroda .etc and many MNC companies too. They offer the highest package of about 12 LPA and the average package was about 5 LPA. About 90% of students get placed every year. My plan is to become a CEO of a start-up company that I will start after getting the degree.

The fees were about 4.6 lacs in total for 3 years. And we get books for the semister from the library so no need to buy any books from the store. And the price is reasonable only. There is some scholarship scheme like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Scholarship but it is for students with an annual income of 2 lakhs. I applied for a student credit card which helps in paying for my college fees from the bank but it is a low-interest loan for education and can be paid after getting a job from your salary.

The annual fest of JIS University occurs in the month of May. It is called MRIDANG. The tagline of the fest - is "Get the heat to beat". The books and Journals in the Library are more than 80 thousand. There is also a big online e-book library for getting Journals for research and project. The classrooms are big and have all the facilities needed for teaching. We also have a big football ground, volleyball, Gym, Table tennis court and other sports coaching complex. And extracurricular activities that happen in our university for JIS saman like intercollege Dancing, Recitation, Chess, Carrom, Drama, Photography and other competitions take place at the Gurunanak University of Technology.

I come from Commerce Stream in class 12th ISC. I aimed to pursue BBA in college. The Eligibility criteria for getting admission for BBA you need about 50% or above in aggregate in all subjects in 12th. And you need to give WB-JEMAT entrance exam for getting qualified for counselling but some colleges give direct admission. Like in JIS University, I got direct admission. And I am from General Category so I didn't receive any reservation or TFW. I think the admission process can be made a bit easier if possible.
