I scored a rank of 6203 in my EAMCET in 2007. I was interested in IT but not many good colleges was available for me to choose IT. I had only 2 options, CVR and JBIT. As I heard of JBIT from my friends, I opted for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year was common for all the engineers. Second year marks the beginning of the curriculum on Computers, which includes programming languages like C++, Java and technologies like DBMS, Web Technologies etc. Academics provided an intriguing journey with computers, learning them while working on them.
Internships Opportunities
Our college didn't provide us with any internship. Couple of my friends got internship offers through their own references but college didn't encourage or educate us in that direction.
Placement Experience
We were lucky enough to get a string of good companies to our college for placements. INFOSYS, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, MPHASIS etc were the companies came to our campus. It also facilitated JKC placements. Around 40% of the passouts got placed .
College Events
The year we joined was the 10th anniversary of our college so we had a great annual event that year. Every year we had a good tech fest, cultural activities, college annual sports event and many more. The fun quotient was never low in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
JBIT was well economical. My annual fee was Rs. 27,500/- and college also provided all kinds of scholarships, thus making it available for all sections of society .
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college has Syndicate bank within its premises and any kind of bank work was easy and convenient. Apart from Government scholarships, our college didn't provide any other on its own.
Campus Life
JBIT is all about its culture, environment it provides. Academics were not up to the mark but the kind of spirit in students was high. Extracurricular activities injected that momentum in us. Library offered a very good collection of books which can fulfill the thirst of knowledge.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in hostel for 1 year and it was a good experience. Food was very poor and water supply to but the kind of privacy we get there and the fun with friends is worth living there. But monthly fee for our hostel was bit expensive. It was 3,300 per head
Faculty
Faculty of my college is not up to the standards. Not many of them are capable of teaching but the environment and the infrastructure college provided was well enough for us to cross the line .
