Life at Msit

I wanted to be an Engineer that's why chose btech. Surajmal is within walking distance from my house, which was a major reason I selected this college over MAIT. FACULTY is really good some teachers are really helpful and lenient give attendance, and allow students to enter the class even if they are late. The student ratio in btech is rather disappointing ( my class is 60 with only 6 girls ). There are two exams mid sem and end sem apart from class tests.

The placements are really great in the college, branches like CS and IT have an average placement of 6-8 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Adobe, PAYTM, Byjus visit the campus. Many mass recruiters like TCS and Wipro also come and take many students. The highest package was Google 1 cr which was off campus and on campus highest package was 44 lakhs offered by adobe

The fees earlier were low but since the 2022 session, it had increased. The fees are around 1.54 lakhs which are high, but as compared to other colleges it's much better. Placements are also good in college if you study hard and develop skills you will easily get a good placement

When it comes to fest, msit is a horrible experience. The only fests are organized by the Prakriti society. Book banks are there which allow books to the students. The library is also very big and has all the books required by a student. The college has a football ground where you can play, tho the college doesn't promote any sports. The campus is also small, but outside the campus, there are many places where students can hangout

The admission to the College is done by the GGISPU Counseling, which takes JEE main rank as its criteria. One gets a seat according to his / her rank. The counseling takes place in 3 rounds followed by a sliding round and finalized by the spot round. A special round is also organized by the University if any candidate hasn't applied for the counseling in the first place. The application form comes out on the ipu main website. For improvement, ipu should decrease the time gap between the counseling rounds
