Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed keeping in mind the industry standards. The teacher student ratio is usually 1/60. The teachers are PhD scholar and our pedagogy is designed around case studies to bridge the gap between theory and the real world. We have 6 terms in total here at MDI. The exams revolves around the application of what all we have learnt throughout the trimester.
Internships Opportunities
These things can be checked on the official website of MDI in detail where the average stipend is given along with the name of the companies. There is also a bifurcation for each sector and specialisation.
Placement Experience
The average placements at MDI for Summer Internship was 2.73 lakhs for 2 months for the 2022-24 batch. The data related to placements is available on the website for both summers and the finals along with the name of the companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is hiked by 10% this year taking the total fees for the PGDM flagship program to 23.5 lakhs for two years. Financial assistance is offered to the EWS category where 50% of the fees is waived off for top 10 students in that category.
Campus Life
We have more than 30 clubs, committee and student interest groups all combined. Imperium, our annual fest is the face of MDI across the b-school fraternity. We have a footfall of 8000 for that event. It is conducted in February every year.
Hostel Facilities
We are given a double sharing room at MDI. They are all equipped with ACs. Our meals have non veg 3 times a week and the quality of the food is fairly decent if we compare across hostels. The fee is included in the entire fee which is taken for the college.
Admission
I applied to MDI Gurgaon through their website way back in 2021. The application fee was Rs. 3000. It usually closes a day or two before the CAT exam every year. I recieved a shortlist from MDI once the CAT 2021 results were declared. The mode of communication was either mail or their website. I was supposed to submit relevant proofs on their portal before the PI. I appeared for the PI process and my interview lasted not more than 6 minutes. On 13th May 2022, I recieved an offer letter for all the three programs offered at MDI through CAT.
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion or a written test for MDI. The criteria for judgment were my past academic scores, CAT percentile, work-ex and PI performance. I opted for TIME coaching institute and read newspapers on a daily basis.
