Course Curriculum Overview
I'm in Electronics and communication stream. I have chosen this because these days companies are preferring students who know both software and hardware knowledge. As open and program electives I'll choose software part and hardware I'll learn through the curriculum. Faculty to student ratio is 1:11 in our department in our year it's 1:4. Almost all faculty are having Ph.D. Exams will be once a month. Starting the month of semester exams won't be there. For passing in mit you should work hard because papers won't be that easy
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft comes for internship and offers data scientist role many companies like Amazon Goldman Sachs Wipro Infosys also comes for internship and offers various roles as software developers. A decent stipend will be given which differs every year
Placement Experience
6th semester onwards you can run for placements. 193 companies visited and made many offers. Highest package was 44 Lakhs CTC by Microsoft and average package is 8.8 Lakhs. 90.7% students were placed in ECE.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is a bit high but it's worthy to study here because lots of opportunities are there. Innovative centre is there student activity area many are there. Financial assistance you can do yourself but from college side nothing
Campus Life
Almost every week some activities go on but the best ones were Techtatva, Revels, and Manipal Entrepreneurship summit which happens years once in the months of September March, and February respectively. The library has all books required and classes are world-class facilities. Sports and extracurricular activities have a lot of scope on campus
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are allocated based on CGPA. If your cgpa is good facilities in the hostel will be great. Ibus wifi is provided for free with a decent speed. The menu of the food court is decent but once after some time, you get bored with it. They change the menu every week.
Admission
A min of 75% Marks should be there in the PCM stream of any board with English as the language to be eligible for the Manipal Entrance Test MET. You can find the application in the official portal of MIT manipal.edu
