Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I liked it and also I have planned for this course long before joining the university. Also, the faculty is pretty good that always tries to make things normal and easy for the students. the faculty-student ratio is somehow high here as the course is opted by a lot of students but it quite manages out without any certain or problematic situation. The faculty is pretty experienced and very good at its job . I guess almost every student quite like the way they are teaching. Exams are held regularly, for times I thought every week has an exam. University takes 20-30 exams every semester excluding practicals, viva, etc. the difficulty levels vary from exam to exam for example- End term exams are more difficult than monthly-based exams, etc but overall if you are studying regularly it's quite easy to pass all subjects. Extra classes or doubt sessions are also held after the completion of the syllabus to ensure students get the proper knowledge to score higher.
Placement Experience
Placements are provided on campus, as many companies want to invest in our university talent. From the 5th or 6th semester companies start picking students on behalf of their interviews, scorecards, etc. Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, etc companies have been visited here and the highest offer they made was 1.2 crore per annum, an average package from big companies goes from 20-40 lakhs per annum. About 20-30% of students get placed before getting a degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees that they take are worth it as they provide enough if seen as a private university. The fee structure also follows the fees hike policy as it does increases drastically. You can also get a scholarship based on your entrance exam or jee main score. The campus also provides jobs based on the different courses you enroll in and your qualifications.
Campus Life
Campus life is more than good here, multiple events like dj night, different sports competitions for entertainment, pop culture events, etc are likely to happen every week. For techy students, hackathons are conducted regularly. Library provides a different soothing vibe to study as well. There are many start-ups run by students themselves, also there is a club called explore-hub where u can share your different ideas regarding your future or start-ups.
Admission
It takes 70-80 % for pursuing computer science engineering at chitkara university, Patiala, Punjab. All the application details like form, fees, and dates can be found on the official chitkara website, phone no./ mail is also provided. For improvement, I would say there should be more competitiveness for availing seats in the university.
