Course Curriculum Overview
After graduation, I chose this for my higher study. There is around 12 professor including 2 guest faculties for the 60 students in the M.Sc. batch. All the professors here are highly qualified andeveryonee holds a Ph.D. degree. Some of the teachers are quite explanatory and the way of teaching is something you can't complain about. The exam system is normal like other universities. Semester exams happen every 6 months and it is normal like any other exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are around 5000 rupees of admission fees as it is a full government university. Exam fees of around 1500 rupees every semester and that's all, no other fees. You can avail scholarship from the Jharkhand government named E-Kalyan based on merit and there is also another scholarship for minority students.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite exciting and interesting here. Every year in December there is a celebration of a youth festival named 'SHYAMOSTAV' which continue for 3-5 days with a lot of fun events. Also, other festivals like Holo, Saraswati puja, etc. are celebrated on campus with so much eagerness. You will find a variety of books and journals in the library to read. There are all the amenities like fans, lights, water purifiers, charging sockets, etc. can be found in the classroom. Every year annual sports take place and the university has its basketball team, football team, hockey team, and cricket team which took part in the inter-university competition.
Admission
You need to complete your BSc in botany to be eligible for for MSc botany course. You will find the application form on the official website of the university. Both the students of Jharkhand and other states can take admitted to this university. The application fee is around 500 rupees and the application process starts in October and the merit list published in November. There is approximately 4% of extra weightage given to girl students. The admission process takes place in the chancellor Portal of Jharkhand.
