Course Curriculum Overview
With my joint entrance examination rank this was one of the best options I was getting. The faculty and student ratio is quite good and it's improving after the UGC visit last year. All the professors have done their Ph.D. from IITs. We have three exams two mid-semester and one end semester in a single semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided during the 3rd year of our college. Companies like Siemens, Exxon mobile, and many others. Provide internship opportunities and preplacement offers. During the internship, the stipend is provided between 15 to 20k or above.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for placements. In mechanical engineering, in 2021 the number of eligible students was 60 out of which 54 were placed. With an average package of 6 lakhs and the highest package of 17 lacs. Reliance, L&T, and Maruti Suzuki are some common companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee of Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur is 135000 per year. Hostel and mess fees are 21000 and 36000 per year respectively. We get financial assistance from Uttar Pradesh Government in the form of a UP scholarship of 60000 per year.
Campus Life
We have an annual fest known as Adhaay and a Technical fest known as Technica which are held from September to December respectively. We have a Tagore central in the library which all course-related and other generals and magazines are available. There are smart boards and projectors in classrooms. We have various social clubs such as ascpc, NSS, relectra AME, GDSC, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are basic amenities like the water cooler and geyser. There is a common room in which we have a TV and table tennis table. We have a variety of items on our menu but the taste is usually the same as in different engineering colleges.
Admission
Admission is based on the joint entrance examination JEE mains all India rank. The application form is available on hbtu.ac.in. The application fee is 1200 rupees. The counseling starts in August or September. And there are several reservations in allotting seats.
